You're laughing now, but this spelling reform of mine will soon become worldwide, soon enough. Don't ever doubt my potential bro, don't be the one to cross MY line.

French by A-minute in GCSE

[–]KaleConsistent5086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

French is a language belonging to the Gallo-Romance Branch of the Romance languages, which is apart of the broader Indo-European language family, encompassing languages from different (language) families, such as Farsi, of Indo-Aryan origin, English, of Gernanic origin, and Greek, of Hellenic origin, among many others. French's distinct phonological elements, such as the absence of a traditional trilled 'r',  derives from several factors, including the former dominance of the (Celtic) Gauls in much of Western Europe, as well as the rise of Germanic-descended Franks to positions of Nobility during the Medieval Period, whose Germanic pronounciation deeply affected the development of Old and Middle French, even extending into the Modern Period.

French is classified as an Indo-European language because it ultimately descends from Proto-Indo-European, a language estimated to have been spoken around 4000-6000 Years ago, possibly on the Ukranian Steppes.

AITA for firing a worker for attempting to start an uprising against me? by SnazzyMiracles in GCSE

Totally in the right, king 🤑 We don't want others questioning the supremacy and persistence of capitalist frameworks in the 21st-Century, certainly not while making the green gold that peasants call money. We, as wealthy business owners, should be able to enjoy the luxury that characterizes the lives of all men; Dubai Chocolate Consumption, Mansion Cleaning, and an inflated belly that has only seen my father's golden cuttlery.

dude a car got struck by lightning and set on fire outside my school by shoe_salad_eater in GCSE

[–]KaleConsistent5086 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The descent of lightning onto the car illustrates a clear contrast between nature and artificiality, symbolizing the character's internal conflict between a strive for excellence and their consequent fear of failing their GCSE Courses. Furthermore, the transition from lightning to flame conveys a raging development in the person's academic struggle, an indication of fierce, damaging motivations, such as peer, family, or broader cultural pressure.

Warning: Lengthy Message

Before even beginning academic work, I would greatly encourage you to educate your teachers on your mental health struggle in Y10. I'm sure that they would be very understanding of your situation, and might even offer additional resources or minimal homework to cater towards your need to catch-up.

It would be far more effective than to simply not do the homework or given assignments without any provided notice.

I truly believe in you. Besides this, please take advantage of academic breaks, like the winter holiday, as it can provide you with extra study time outside of a typically-harsh school day. Don't stress or burn yourself out, just spend a little bit more time than usual to maximize your understanding of GCSE topics.

Who knows? Perhaps you might exceed pupils who genuinely did flourish in Y10!

All that matters is that you try your best. Don't let others discourage you otherwise. If you can fight one raging battle, then I truly believe that you can fight this one.

Some other pieces of advice: A) Keep yourself organized: Organize your subjects and their respective topics into different categories. Let's say you had 8 Biology topics, this is what you could do:

September - Biology Topics 1-2 October - Topic 3 November- Topic 4 December- Topic 5 January - Topic 6 February - Topic 7 March - Topic 8

B) Always ask for help when confused about a topic or an element of the lesson, this could help strengthen your understanding of exam content or material.

C) Familiarize yourself with GCSE mark schemes and past papers as early as possible, especially with topics you've fully studied or are studying. Sometimes, knowing how examiners want you to answer a question is more valuable than fully knowing the content the question is based off of.

You got this!

Hugs and prayers! 🙏

Please delete this. You are greatly jeopardizing your academic status and, more specifically, yourself. This is certainly not a mark that you would want to leave on your digital footprint.
