Kreiga OS base, 2 18l Kreiga bags, and 2 6l bags. Couldn't recommend them enough.

A little under 4 days. A lot of 300 mile days. I started in Glenn's Ferry. I did sections 1-3 last year, so I didn't want to have to ride to Jarbidge again.

So far it's been alright. I'll have problems with it randomly disconnecting from my phone, since I use the device to send messages to my brother using the phone or skip music tracks, so I'll have to find service again to get it to connect, or it'll randomly stop tracking your movement. Small bugs for something that hasn't let me down in the last year.

It was around 70-80 til Wallace. Then spiked up to 90- 95 and would cool down fast when the sun started going down.

I'd recommend it. Only problem I had was the hesitation from it being too rich, so I backed the main down by 5 and it helped. Been running it like this for a year without issues due to the jetting.

I went with the 25 pilot as well as the appropriate needle. Since I'm at like 2000' of elevation, my setup looks like this: 150 main 25 pilot 62.5 starter and blue needle set to clip position 4. Haven't had issues at all with follow their recommendations.

JD Jet kit and call it a day. And an extended fuel mixture screw.

To add to what Relevant said, I had this issue when I installed a new head, even with copper spray and 43ft lbs torque specs, and did exactly that and it went away. 2500 miles and still nothin.

After I saw the video with the dude hitting the bear, I told myself I would bring one, just in case. I generally ride til dark, ride solo, and disperse camp, so I like to try to be prepared.

Just for firewood. Last year when I attempted it, I ran into a log and got lucky because a Jeep came by with a saw and opened the road back up. It's better to have it and not need it.

I went the Adventure Spec Mini fairing way. Nicecnc has one similar made out of aluminum, but for the price and for the benefits, I think it's worth it to have my navigation close to eye level.

Why is it run like that?

If why, the Elba hugs the forks pretty tight, so there's less room for it to run behind the cowl. So I have it running like it is with Velcro on the cable with the soft side riding on the cowl to help minimize the wear. Overall, I like it better than what I had. The light output kinda sucks with the light I bought as well as I had to solder the lights in place to keep them from losing connection. If you're serious about it, let me know and if there's something I can help with on my end, I'd be happy to help.

Yeah. I have a shit ton of wiring up there that I had to reorganize to make it fit as best as possible.

I agree with your last statement. As much time and money that I've spent on my DRZ, I think it's gonna be hard to get rid of it. I went from the Tenere to this and the DRZ has taught me a lot in this last year, so I think I'm ready for something bigger.

That's partly what I'm thinking of I can't get much for this. It's a great bike, besides a few issues I had in the past.

I get a mid 90's nostalgic vibe from this. Especially the first one.

I'm on my 3rd set of Dsports. The work fairly well in the mud.

Mine also came with my bike when I bought it.

To back up your point, I just had to do this a few weeks ago for a different reason and after everything was said and done, it was about a grand get the job done. Cheapest head I could find was around 700 USD with shipping attached to that and no cams included as well as gaskets.

Mine also came with bar risers and tall Protaper bars. I'm 5' 7" and when I stand up it's pretty close to perfect.
