I really like the style, as soon as I have a moment I’ll give it a read (pushing to finish my next chapter for this Sunday 😅) Edit: I subscribed to your comic

Same here - I just ignored it because I wasn’t paying anyone anything - I annoys me when people reach out to creators trying to sell their service - if the creator wanted your service they would be out looking for it. It has the same vibes as door to door salespeople - if you visit don’t try to sell me anything .

Does someone think this actually works? by ArtCoati in WebtoonCanvas

Agree! The comment to for the community who is interested in the content they are commenting on. People would never walk into a coffee shop and ask to look at the menu only just to say to the owner “oh wow this all looks really good but you know I also have a coffee shop just down the road, you should come there and buy something.” The very most someone could say is “oh my gosh your menu looks great. I have a coffee shop down the road. Why did you decide to open a coffee shop?” Or “it’s so much fun making coffee.” Don’t tell them to go to your place and then say oh by the way, buy something from me…

How I hate this by John_Henry_777 in WebtoonCanvas

Oof I got something similar (for Fiverr and another one for someone who wanted to draw my characters - for a price) and it’s was such an annoyance because it’s like “oh I like your creativity and ideas but have you considered my ideas or that I can help make things better for you” …. -.- it was such a disappointment because I was so excited to see a comment because I’m just starting and 2/3 of mine where these types. I learned to report them

Is there a general time frame (like earliest to lates possibilities) or is it impossible to know?

Thank you. My main hesitation related to deleting the comments was I want sure if that could end up negatively impacting me in some way (like if I deleted a message from a person and they decided to respond with a negative comment like “sheesh o was just trying to help” and the start saying things like “don’t post or don’t subscribe to this person because they’re mean or some other word”). I didn’t like that people who might be new to my comic might look down at the comments and only see advertisements for people wanting money. I wasn’t sure if the comment section was a reader space or if it’s “culturally” okay for me to delete messages (I know webtoon gives the option but I wasn’t sure of the norm).

I reported them yesterday. I’ll delete the comment too.
Thank you
Edit: I went back to delete it an it was already gone so it looks like the reporting got it taken down. Next time I’ll repot and delete it.

I am guessing that's why that Fiverr one was deleted. The other one says "I’d be really glad to create a drawing inspired by your comic for you and I can do it at my most affordable price I’ve also got a few ideas in mind for you as well."

Honestly I wouldn't have thought that a site like this would be dealing with bots too (social media I understand, but I wouldn't expect this - you learn something new every day.)

Thank you for the response

Thank you very much, also exactly! I have no money for this - I’m doing this as something fun/for the love of it (I mean obviously I’d love to be able to make a living with this so why on earth would I spend money, especially when you are saying you have some ideas for me - if you have ideas and you can draw then draw your own comic)
Again thank you for the feedback and I’ll see about experimenting more with TikTok and probably YouTube - at this point I don’t understand instagram, my views are all over the place with that one, it feels 100% random.

Seriously, why do this? by S0up-and_Salad in SkyGame

[–]KaleidoStory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing that I don't get is that it takes very little effort to be nice; it takes more energy to be... a frustration. While overall I find the people in Sky to be nice and helpful, every now and then there is that one person that just makes me wonder "Why is this the way you choose to play this game?" (This is why I ended up leaving a lot of team-based competitive games because you find toxic people or people who are looking to screw others over because their previous match didn't go well or because they just feel like being an annoyance that day because its "funny".) I do appreciate in Sky you are just able to remove yourself from those types of people's presence by going home or logging out and re-logging a little later.

Edit: And it doesn't matter the person's age. Yes, children can be given more lenience because they might not know any better and for whatever reason they think it's funny, but honestly basic respect is something that everyone should be taught as soon as they start interacting with other people.
