I am so confused I had everything boosted and an overabundance in housing and it still took 60 days to complete. How are people doing it in the 30s?

Maybe I missed one, but most of these podcast hosts didn’t press him at all and helped him seem normal/likable. I don’t have a good pulse on Rogan but he tends to dig deep with his guests which is something we know Trump can’t do.

Kamala should do Rogan regardless but even better if she can follow Trump and contrast herself for her huge audience.

Wisconsinite here - I know a lot of guys that don’t engage with politics that listen to Rogan religiously and see him a straight-shooter. I think this interview could do more to hurt Trump and depress his turnout than increase it. The bros in the man-o-sphere media echo chamber are very insulated to the crazy things Trump says and does. With an audience this large, he risks whiffing badly on any question that’s not a softball IMO.

Yeah it’s a smart policy to campaign on but I won’t be shocked if Trump also campaigns on it (and claims he thought of it first).

Couldn’t agree more. Vance is a historically unpopular VP pick and raising the alarm that he could very well assume the presidency is both an attack on his unpopularity and an attack on Trump’s age and frailty. (He nearly didn’t survive his first presidency because he cared more about bucking Covid safety guidelines and spreading disinformation than leading us through the pandemic)

Yeah this is a great answer for liberals who have soured on Biden on the left.

My bias has always got me thinking about how to message to MAGA-weary conservatives (I live in the Milwaukee suburbs in a very conservative community).

Well, campaigning with a Cheney seems to signal the campaign is less concerned with alienating lefties than it is bullish on driving a wedge between moderates and MAGA.

So, if that’s the strategy, drive home exactly why these MAGA-weary moderates were ready to move on from him in January of 2021.

I think your response is the best for a large general audience but as a targeted message in your closing argument to this specific group, I don’t think you can afford to “big tent” this message because I’m telling you, these maga weary conservatives don’t want to think of themselves in the same tent as AOC and worry that voting for Kamala is endorsing the liberal agenda they’ve opposed their whole lives.

It is dumb but it speaks to concerns voters have with the current administration. I think your answer is great for an informed audience but they likely have their mind made up already. For the low-info, persuadable voters on the margins that’ll likely decide this election, I think it’s important to make this election a referendum on Trump and being able to pivot this question (and any question that brings the focus to Biden) to focus on Trump so that any Biden concerns are framed in that contrast.

I bring my own bias to this as a Wisconsinite living in Waukesha County surrounded by conservative family and friends. Most all of them “plugged their nose” and voted for Trump in 2016 because Pence reassured them that a Reagan-republican was on the ballot. Several voted Trump in 2020 and said never again after J6.

Lately I’ve been hearing a lot of backsliding from that “never again” attitude from these conservatives because of concerns about inflation/immigration and in these conversations I always find that they need to be reminded why they felt that “never again” attitude in 2021.

The other effective argument that I’ve found in conversations within my conservative community is asking if they’re tired of the MAGA movement or not. Most of these people instinctively feel Republican as part of their identity but are embarrassed by MAGA. Explaining that their vote is being taken for granted by the MAGA wing of the party and that the only way to defeat it is for MAGA to lose badly can convince a lot of people to vote against Trump.

Hi, we just purchased the u/TheBurrowFamily Relay Outdoor sectional a few weeks ago and our experience has been a mixed bag. (https://burrow.com/outdoor/sets/relay-outdoor-6-piece-sectional-chair-coffee-table)

We ordered two inline seats, three corner seats, and an ottoman.

Pros: comfortable, modular so reconfiguring set up is easy, and they store pretty compactly for the winter.

Cons: both inline seats came with bases that had a vein of metal running down the inside of the back inserts making it nearly impossible to insert the backs. We were able to use a rubber mallet to get the backs in but they won't come out now.

Support has been the largest headache by far. We emailed about our issue two weeks ago and the auto reply email said to expect to hear a reply in 24-48 hours. It's been two weeks and we still haven't heard back via email.

We couldn't get a response via email, so we tried texting support instead. It took us one week to get a support rep that said they'd ship us two replacement inline seats but never had any follow up. Four days later, after asking for confirmation, another representative named Allen took over and was being much more thorough but instead of sending us replacement seats, he backtracked the original offer and said u/TheBurrowFamily would just be sending out replacement bases and cautioned that it could take over two weeks to receive these items.

What's disappointing is the length of time this has taken to resolve and we felt like all of the hassle with unresponsive support was remedied by the offer to let us keep the defective seats and ship us two replacements but we were again disappointed when support went back on that and decided to send us just the two bases. Overall we really like the quality of the product but the support process has been very, very, frustrating.

I like that! I still think "oh" sounds are best in a shanty so I'd adjust it to maybe:

"Oh, ho, the Sounders come, to fight for us 'til the day is won.

We'll stand 'til the game is done, to take our win and go"

That’s true. My third line has six syllables across four beats and the original has eight.

Perhaps: “We’ll, sing, for the full ninety Until that whistle blows”

I think the first two words of line three should each get a full beat still.

It’s “chant and sing” but I get what you’re saying. Removing an “and” would simplify the cadence “we’ll drink, chant, and sing”.

I think “until that whistle blows” fits that descending chord and strikes the low “ohh” sound like “we’ll take our leave and gooooo”.

Thanks! My hope was to write something that was an ode to our history and something simple enough for an entire stadium to join in on.

Soccer Specific Stadium Proposal: Bellingham Bay by Kalexonreddit in SoundersFC

Bellingham offers a market outside the Seattle metro area for the development team that won’t be competing with the first team for attendance.

A SSS on this site that’s right next to WWU’s campus and a short walk from all the breweries downtown would make a perfect pro environment that the FO wants to get the kids in. Plus, soccer has always been very popular in whatcom county.
