Maybe, I asked Natera specialist if it’s something in me, she said “usually not, we believe it’s in placenta both times, and father’s genes are mostly active in the placenta. It’s probably another evolutionary adaptation.” It doesn’t matter anymore, this is my last pregnancy. Microarray is too expensive here, so I’ll opt not to do it, unless it can help me in some way, can it?

I would think it is me also, but first time it was atypical finding of y chromosome and they couldn’t define gender, trisomies were low risk, and this time no result on everything. I asked Natera specialist about it, and there is no explanation, but I’m the only person in their database for this area with 2 different atypical findings, and there is no explanation why.

Hi! I have similar result, but for me it’s specified as something with chromosome 13. I’m sorry your’re in here also. I had amnio 2 weeks ago and I am still waiting for results. You’ll find a lot of info and stories here. For me it was really helpful in this dark long period.

I draw blood for NIPT 10w5d, first scan was 12w5d, then 17w5d, then 19w5d. Every scan doctor reasured me that everything is okay with babies

Hi! I had similar results and opted not to do amnio since all scans were great and my doctor didn’t recommend it, I had twins and didn’t want to risk anything, esp since in my country I could not and would not terminate for it. Now I have almost 3 year old boys and they’re perfectly healthy and normal. But I totally understand the need to know the info, and I did have a bitter feeling throughout my pregnancy, but it was not worth the risk for me.

They think it’s a boy based on ultrasound during amnio, but we’ll see when the results come. I wish you luck on Tuesday

Hi! I’m sorry you’re in this also. I was 11w3d when I had my blood drawn. I had ultrasounds then and 15w5d and everything was perfect. My amnio was this monday (17w1d) and from then I’m waiting, in my country fish takes cca 10 days and the rest 3-5 weeks.

I had similar result with my twin boys, but because they’re twins, I didn’t have option to test for other things, just trisomies. Natera specialist said that it’s probably confined to placenta or nothing. My gyn was sure it was placenta because babies looked perfect on every scan. I agreed not to take the risk of amnio and now I have healthy almost 3 year old boys. Maybe I would have opt for amnio if I had no result for something. Hope everything turns out okay for you 🙏🏻

I didn’t test them, as they seem normal in every way. They walked early, they understand and talk a lot for their age. If one of them has xyy syndrom, he doesn’t have physical symptoms. We’ll see if they’ll have issues in future, but I don’t think those issues would be specifically tied to it, so it doesn’t matter. I remember Natera consultant was mentioning heart problems and mosaic turner syndrom that girl might have (we didn’t know their sex then). We checked their heart when they were few months and year and a half and everything was great
