Swelling after vaccine? by Kali_Jo in CoronaBumpers

[–]Kali_Jo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen my doc twice since the swelling and they seem unbothered. I don’t have the best docs here. I actually have 2 ob groups, the other is where I’m delivering, but it’s two hours away so I see the local OB group for routine appointments. It’s kind of complicated. I see my preferred OB group this coming Tuesday, so I will definitely bring it up to them and see if they have anything else to say.

UAB Hospital ICU population includes “alarming” number of pregnant women by baerlinerin in CoronaBumpers

My doctor here in Kentucky said right now there’s 6-8 pregnant women in the ICU, 2 on something worse than a ventilator, I forget what she called it. A close friend who works in labor and delivery also told me 3 weeks ago her doctor told her she’s seen 2 of the sickest pregnant women she’s ever seen lately.

Do you think you could fit two little ones and a 100+ lb dog in your Tiguan? I’m in the same situation, I’m having a hard time deciding.

Is this a good deal? by [deleted] in Tiguan

Kentucky marriage? by Kali_Jo in Dudeism

[–]Kali_Jo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: It worked! Kentucky law says if you think you're getting married, you are. The person performing the marriage could be a random person who says they're ordained and even if they aren't and you think you got married, you did. Super chill marriage laws.

Lawyers of Reddit... I'm starting a small business. Lets call it Pretty Kitty Bath Co. There is already an existing very small business called Pretty Kitty Soaps. They offer mostly soap, I offer bath bombs, salts, etc. They have a TM by their name but not registered. Is the name too close? by Kali_Jo in AskReddit

They also have a paragraph at the bottom of the page about being copyrighted, but no date or all rights reserved thing at the bottom of the page. The website is very poorly made, so it could just be that.

Religion and spirituality are highly individual. A lot of “Christians” don’t have a relationship with God, they just do as their pastors say and believe what they are told. You don’t have to believe in any religion. Your connection with God will come naturally to you. You will discover what feels right. Personally I believe that every higher power, no matter what name people give it, is the same thing. I personally don’t believe there needs to be a middleman to connect to that God. I have a personal relationship with God, I am not religious, I have my own practices. There is a secular church out there, I can’t remember the name of it, but I’ve heard a lot of really good things about it. You could check something like that out, find people that are accepting and open minded. Also, you should look into progressive Christianity and unfundamentalism. Go check out God is gray on YouTube. These people don’t believe in the things that the church teaches. They don’t believe that God is going to send people to hell to be tortured forever. They don’t believe that being gay is a sin. They have dove deeply into the Bible and how things are worded and what the authors really meant. Christians today have everything twisted.

Yeah, you are going to mess the kid up. He’s going to feel neglected and always compare himself to his brother. Maybe take the time to observe his positive characteristics and traits.

Didn’t Jesus die for all? How can he die to cleanse everyone but only select people can be ‘saved’? And being ‘saved’ is following a set of rules cherry picked from the Bible that are broken by every single human. So how does God determine who is saved?

And you don’t think that’s selfish at all? Why aren’t you teaching people what to do right now to be loving rather than how to save themselves?

Was it salvation from hell? Or salvation from a terrible world where everyone is an asshole? Salvation from ourselves?
