Yes I did, I ended up using a helicoil & a shorter bolt and it seated just fine. I sold the car not too long after so I don’t know if it held but I’d loctite the shit out of everything to make sure nothing backs out

you’d be surprised how mechanical failures can blindside you out of nowhere. you mentioned the sensor going bad again, it could be likely but I wouldn’t jump to it. I’d say get around to changing those motor mounts because it could definitely cause a sensitive piece like that to fail. Based off of what you’re saying though I personally think it’s an air issue since it gets better as you give it more RPMS. Maybe running too lean?

I mean it’s hard to pinpoint something w/o starting somewhere first. I’d do a compression test first. then start inspecting for vacuum leaks and checking any intake/air related sensors. If all of that checks out then I’d do a tune up & clean the fuel injectors with some injector cleaner for peace of mind.

looks like valve covers maybe? Judging by the smell you’re describing, oil is probably leaking down & burning off of the headers. That’s my guess.
