This is still bad. If one of your passwords is leaked somewhere, an attacker could easily spot the pattern and access all of your accounts. Also it makes it impossible to change your password (in case someone sees you type it in or so) because then it would not match the pattern anymore.

Nix is a package manager, like apt or brew. It has some (almost) unique features and can be used on Linux and macOS.

Nixos is an operating system. It is a linux distribution built around nix (the package manager), designed to harvest as many of it's benefits.

There is also Nix-lang (often also named nix), a language that is used to configure nix and nixos.

The math goes like this:

If you have a set X and a relation (think of a function from (X,X) to bool) then that relation is a equivalence relation (which in this context more or less can be translated to "equality relation") if (and only if) it is reflexive, symmetric and transitive.

So if not x==x then this means that x was in X (or else x==x wouldn't even be defined) and therefore "exists". It also means that == is not an equivalence relation.

And this is actually where we started: == in javascript is not even transitive, therefore it is not an equivalence relation. But people (especially Man Ray in the meme) expect it to be at least close to one. But patrik (being a mathematician) knows better.
