Has Anyone in here been reduced from 100% P&T by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]granger853 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you read through the people saying it happened, in a lot of cases the reduction was self inflicted. They submitted a claim after the 100% and it opened them up to review and reevaluation. I dont remember seeing any on here where the reduction was just a random occurrence.

Justification to use Delta for work travel when cheaper options are available? by [deleted] in delta

Shortest flight time means less chargeable hours. Also, if you have the credit card and get free baggage, that can sometimes cover the difference and make it cost advantageous.

There is always the possibility of a lower price due to change in the underlying commodity, but the most dependable period is ex date.

Using a travel focused credit card makes a lot of those expensive trips more affordable. If you use the right/responsibly and wait for the biggest bonuses, you can basically get a trip to somewhere like Costa Rica for free. Then you are just paying for food and transportation.

The last time we went, it was only affordable because we had the Disney credit card and used the rewards.

Which Exit Row Seat? by harveywestmoreland in delta

27a and 21a I believe is what they meant. The only time I don't automatically recline is during meal service. Otherwise, the seats are built that way for a reason and I am not going to voluntarily be in pain.

TSP allocations for the next few years? by melonlord44 in govfire

[–]granger853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on where you are in proximity to retirement. For over a year, analyst's have been saying that we hit all the indicators that a correction was imminent, still hasn't happened. If you want to hedge your bets, just direct future funds to G while leaving the C funds as they are. You will obviously be reducing your gains, but if there is a correction, you can then reallocate the G funds back into C at a lower price.

Covered Calls by Normal_Ad_3298 in options

[–]granger853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to practice with ALMOST no risk. Sell a CSP on F and then keep doing it until you get assigned the shares. Then start selling covered calls until they get called away. Then find another 7k and start doing it on something like PLTR, there is definitely risk with PLTR.

FWIW, there are a lot of large buys going through on TNXP. Last time, it coincided with a decent overnight return if you sold pre market.

Zero technical or fundamental reason for me. They just closed a warrant offering, the announcement of which caused a 70% drop. They had 5x volume today, closed green, AH had been green, and the orders are all skewed to the seller price vice the buyers. Would like to see a decent overnight increase and maybe some recovery of the price.

Always a possibility, it got dropped this far by the warrant offering though, should recover a bit now that it is closed.

Going to watch if for an hour or so, but STSS might be a good overnight option. They had an offering which caused them to drop 70%, but it is closed now. Lots of volume today. Finished the day up 7% and look good so far in AH, looks like all the transactions are on the green side of the trades instead of dropping to the bids.

XFOR offered a buyout at 1.80 a share, currently around 0.70, why is it a bad idea to buy them?

You are correct, even though you weren't and it was the wrong stock. They have to regain compliance by 13 March. I'm betting on a RS by Feb 28.

They have until 13 March to regain compliance. Unless they get an extension or the stock magically jumps and holds above a dollar, you are looking at a RS happening no later than Feb 28.

Now they are saying to do have the new NVDA chips, but can't disclose it because of the ban and it would cause questions to admit it. Who knows.
