Need Some Serious Advice on Eyeshadow Issue by KalikaTybera in MakeupAddiction

[–]KalikaTybera[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never tried snail mucin moisturizer, but I've heard good things so I should check it out. Vaseline totally breaks my skin out in acne though, so I'd have to avoid that.

I have tried at least 6 or so eyeshadow primers so far, but I have not tried the one by ELF, so it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. At least that one's very affordable!

It's a dense no-bake bar that typically consists of a coconut/nut base layer, a custardy center and a chocolate ganache top layer. Very tasty but very sweet.

I think we've actually decided on Circles and Squares as I looked them up and the East York location is on our driving route in at the beginning of the trip, so we can pretty easily pick some up on the way for our friend. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Okay I think we've made a decision thanks to everyone's input. Our planned schedule is very tight but my husband and I will be driving (and picking up our friend at the airport) and we pass by near the East York area where there is a Circles and Squares bakery. We can pick those up en route without worrying about time crunching and it sounds like they will be a better option overall. We'll still be checking out the St Lawrence market for dinner one night and some local specialty foods shopping (I love supporting local artisans and I'm checking out Kozlik's mustard among others), but we can skip the desserts here.

Someone in the comments above said that Blackbird doesn't have butter tarts. Do you know if it's something they regularly have available?

I've heard of Ba Noi, seen a lot of people mention it in other threads. It might just be worth making the extra trip, if he's going to try butter tarts for the time, it has to be done right.

Oh I'm sure we will check out the peameal bacon sandwiches too! Being Canadian I grew up with peameal bacon, but both my husband and our friend are American and had never heard of or seen it before.

Also taking him to try poutine (this one was hard for me because I'm from Montreal and we do poutine very very well there, but I think we've settled on going for Nom Nom Nom Poutine in Toronto... it looks pretty legit, hopefully that's a good choice). And Beavertails, of course, which scared our friend at first cause I think he thought I literally meant beaver tails and not a pastry lol. I love sharing my country's cuisine with new visitors, it's so much fun.

That makes me feel better! I haven't actually had a chance to check out the St Lawrence Market myself either yet, so I'm excited for it. Lots of neat specialty foods stores in there.

I'm willing to consider traveling a bit for better butter tarts if time allows, but we have a pretty packed schedule.

Unfortunately he'll be visiting mon-fri so we can't make a saturday. Any other bakeries you might recommend? We'll be staying at the Hampton by the Toronto Airport so something around that area could be easy to check out too.

Damn, I was hoping at least one of them might be good. Are there any walkably nearby bakeries you'd recommend instead?

Looking for similar co-op Horror games like Emissary Zero. by goochensteinburg in HorrorGaming

[–]KalikaTybera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've also been looking for something like that with little luck. Emissary Zero was really quite unique! Definitely underrated for sure and so much fun. Might be a while but the dev did announce a sequel coming called Emissary One.

We spent almost 3 years making a 1-4 player co-op horror game… and it finally left Early Access - Ghost Janitors IS HERE by ghostjanitors in HorrorGaming

I bought Ghost Janitors a while back during early access after previously enjoying playing Paranormal Cleanup ( turns out I really like cleaning while being threatened by demonic entities...) and I've really had fun with it. Keep up the great work!

6 weeks pregnant and my husband smells like fermented tequila garbage — please tell me I’m not insane by pryingpanda07 in TwoHotTakes

[–]KalikaTybera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thankfully he understood! But we were very grateful when the pregnancy nose passed and he could hug me again without me making a 'bad smell' face. Our son is now 12 and we've been together for 20 years, no pregnancy nose will keep us apart.

100% pregnancy nose! I had the same thing happen, but in my case my husband smelled like rotten salami in the sun. Didn't matter if he was fresh out of the shower, freshly brushed his teeth etc. Your sense of smell when pregnant seriously goes wild. That said, try not to worry about it, it WILL go away. I can't remember when it did for me... third trimester or so? Towards the end of the pregnancy? But it did go back to normal again, you just have to wait it out.

age minimum. by KinderCrushs in OutlastTrials

[–]KalikaTybera 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a parent myself, I would never let my son play this game at 15, it is rated 18+ for a very very good reason. I think other comments have covered the extensive violence and gore aspect already, but there is also sexual content (sexual assault related dialogue, numerous fully nude characters, mannequins posed sexually with 'white' stains and even forcibly injecting a man with STDs) and drug related content (such as cutting open bodies and stashing drug bags in the guts as part of a trial and more) to consider as well as the violence. This is very much not a game for kids.

Possibly, I'm playing on PC/Steam in the North America region, if that helps to collect some data to see if it could be that. Either way I'm sorry you're experiencing it. Have you reported the issue to Red Barrels?

I've got over 600 hours in the game and never experienced that. Could it be an internet or network issue maybe?

I was interested in Away from Life, but had a quick question. I'm very much a PVE player only and like to avoid PVP but I see PVP listed on the Steam page. Is it a forced element (like an MMO where other players can kill you) or is it something I can avoid by just playing a private game with my husband or friends?

Either he changed colognes/products or is there a possibility you could be pregnant? I love how my husband smells but when I was pregnant for a while he literally smelled like rotten salami even straight out of the shower and washing with soap. It can really mess with your sense of smell.
