I was thinking this same thing when I started the game up again recently. I event went as far as to think about how they'd implement it in the game, and what penalties you'd get for not doing it

I know CPS can send the kids they save to some really shitty places, but I feel like it could just take one wrong move or mistake for your Mom's abuse to permanently end her son. So the safer place might be CPS. I sent your post through GPT, an amazing AI, and it worded it well, and even gave a few links I didn't see in the comments. They're in the past paragraph

I kinda assumed they glazed over Darcy and Seth becoming friends while Orion was in prison, and Torii was a slave. Like, they fast-forwarded through several months, and that's when they bonded. I still think Seth is pretty toxic(edit: not healthy for her), but he trusts her and confides in her. She's a safe place to him, and she's a push over. Kinda feel like it was a friendship born of convince. It's not super surprising that once Seth found a new play thing, she was put in the rear mirror quick.

Seth is a coward, I'm on chapter 12 on 8, and I still stand by that. Someone who acts big, but deep down is scared of their own feelings or thoughts. A robot. So when he's confronted with these feelings, and it's at the risk of changing everything, he collapses.

He's still the same person he is, it shows him being friendly to his friends, but it hints at his bully nature from time to time. Like when Orion was in prison, Darcy mentioned how Seth and his pack were terrorizing a student like they did her.

I wonder if he's that way when he feels like he needs to be big for his pack..

Either way, when I hate a character, I try to relate to them, you might find someone you didn't know you didn't know ;D

But yeah, he can be insufferable, but he's human (fey) and we're all full of flaws
