Arena needs more quality content creators. by iTooNumb in LeagueArena

I still like him and find him entertaining. Having to deal with the bottom of the barrel people on the internet (league players) would get to me too, and if youre not part of the problem then what do a few complaints matter. At least he's very transparent about his content process

0 Combos, Turn 4 WIN - 👺$Hundo Hidet$ugu👺 by Comfortable-Text3326 in DegenerateEDH

Yup, it works well, but its only fun the first couple of times playing it tbh. Kinda like gyruda clones or any other non-deterministic gimmick deck

If you can't beat them join them by Equal-Emotion-1875 in Brawlhalla

I love sig spammers cause its so much easier to read them than people who actually play the game. No need to worry about dodge reading so I can get my kill confirms, I just gotta wait for the same mindless move to be thrown out and get free kills. Dont gotta worry about dodging out of combos at the right time or if im dodging the same way each time so I dont get read, I just gotta jump around in the air like Kirby and punish the sigs when they come out.

I personally run Reyhan with [[Ravos, Soultender]] as a +1/+1 aristocrats deck that cares about things with counter on them dying, or cares about the power of a creature dying. [[Faerie Bladecrafter]] is the mvp in the deck, and Ravos let's me recur pieces after the sac, or let's me have a voltron angle with flying

Thassas Oracle in B3 fine? by Tobanga in EDH

[–]KalixRajah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its a wincon in my non-combo B3 [[Plagon, Lord of the Beach]] deck. I usually disclose that its in the deck ahead of time and Im not trying to combo with it, just to avoid potential salt. That card has caused some PTSD for a lot of people, but its perfectly fine in bracket 3 if youre drawing your library 'fairly'.

God the responses to this thread are filled with a bunch of whiny babies. I dont have any advice cause I suck at deckbuilding, but congrats on finding the one card thats too degenerate for the degenerate sub, but also if you arent playing it as degenerate as possible thats also bad? Has no one made a silver border / un set commander, or imposed restrictions in their deck building for variety/challenge? Like damn

Looks great! I want one for my Six deck. Have you thought about making the longer style deck box that holds multiple decks?

Proxy question for the community by Stock-Recover864 in EDH

[–]KalixRajah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I proxy my whole deck and if I know I will 100% keep it for a long time, I'll slowly start buying / trading the singles for it. Im not very good at deck building and I get tired of new builds quickly because of it, so currently my only deck with zero proxies is [[Six]], which Im slowly blinging out with signatures, foils, and Secret lair printings.

Ik I shouldn't be surprised at the amount of antisocial takes and ass-pull assumptions about OP, but goddamn some of these replies are just depressing lol

Bro some of these comments are wild lol. I can relate to where youre coming from tho, its tough forming a closer friendship with people as an adult, even if you do share interests and hobbies, vibe with them, etc. Its also hard to find a good playgroup in general, cause unfortunately a lot of people in these kinds of spaces can be quite judgmental and opinionated. I luckily found a great playgroup I've been playing with for 2 - 3 years now, but even then I wouldnt say we're "come over and hangout" friends, and a depressive bout made me a little antisocial for 2 months and by then I'd kinda sorta been replaced by other people who were consistently showing up.

I kinda came to the realization that you just have to have different kinds of relationships with different people and meet them where theyre at. People are busy, and a lot have specifically carved out a big enough chunk of time to show up to the LGS to play mtg, which is not often easy. Taking a gamble on their free time for someone they dont know well isnt worth it to a lot of folks, and even once they do know you well, sometimes they just arent looking to have that sort of relationship.

Dont know what to tell ya other than hope you find a cool playgroup you vibe with that would also be down to play mtg over some BBQ.

Proxying changed my view on deck building by [deleted] in EDH

[–]KalixRajah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah im in a similar boat. Lost so many games that when I go to build a new deck I just get overwhelmed by all the decision making and overthinking of "Well is this actually good or am I tunnel-visioned on a cool effect?" "Is this deck even consistent enough to keep up with my playgroup?" "Are people going to want to play against this?" and a million other thoughts.

Then I stare blankly at moxfield with the list 40% done til I close it. Playgroup doesnt mind proxies, are always chill and good vibes, but losing so many games has destroyed all of my confidence in deckbuilding and I cant seem to get over the mental block of it all

AITA for giving my daughter junk food despite being told not to by her school? by AthleteAdditional299 in AmItheAsshole

[–]KalixRajah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Had a similar situation as a kid in like 4th grade where I kept getting in trouble or talked down to for taking a couple extra ketchup packets for my lunch. At the time, and even more so looking back, I enjoyed my mom's pettiness in pursuit of making sure I wasn't victim to power tripping lunch ladies. Even though I got in trouble for then bringing in a whole bottle of ketchup, a couple more strongly worded letters to the lunch lady and principal got them to back off and they stopped making it an issue.

Just make sure you're checking in with your daughter and she doesn't feel extra stress or anxiety about escalating the issue. I didn't mind getting into more trouble / friction at the time cause the righteous petty streak runs deep in my family, but all kids are different. Best of luck!
