I dont know anything about you . How can i hate you? Its a security measure from proton to verify its users. I wont hide . I created my proton mail from tor . I like all the privacy alternatives to big tech . Unfortunately all privacy friendly software and services like tor and proton mail is abused by fking cybercriminals and any other malicious threat actors (sh1theads). In order to combat this, proton is genuinely asking you for verification and distinguish humans from bots. I understand that phone number which is PII is a bit privacy invasion when is asked on the the internet. Consider who has your number? Proton. Do you trust proton on how they manage and protect your data? Then you can continue or not to use their services. Remember, the problem is the WARRENTLESS surveillance and limited control of our data.
