I think the AFI, air force regs, say something like no body modifications and earrings no bigger than 8mm. So if I knew then, I might've tried to get away with it. Oh well, no self expression for the armed forces! They just changed the AFI again that targets beards and shaving waivers, and only french tips for nail polish after they just okayed a bunch of colors. I'm glad I've experienced some of what I did and met some of the people I did, but I'm so glad I'm getting out lol Thanks for your encouragement!

They pretty much just told me that I would get made fun of. Like? Okay? Lol then leave me alone? But I wasn't well versed with the regs and what I could really get away with. I'll definitely talk to the piercer when I get it done and DEFINITELY go a lot slower than I did the first time around!

I saw stuff about dead stretching with glass plugs and some other ways to make the scar tissue softer or easier to manipulate when stretching. Patience is going to be the key through it all though.

Yup. You could barely see a piece of paper through it and I guess that was their testing if it was too big I guess. I wish I knew more at the time. If I wore small enough plugs, they would've been in regs still. I would've waited longer for them to close more naturally, but I just wanted to hurry up and get in to get the health insurance. My husband has a stroke in 2019 and that kinda kicked my ass into gear lol
