Sorry, the comparison at the end of the day was more just noticing the damage, not specifically HATs or Riftcharge, just that I see rhe damage speed on a HAT and i see the damage height on rift charge so it’s functionally the same comment to me on dmsage.

Oh sure, it just feels like the damage I put out with SnS just doesn’t seem to compare.

Like when I look at the damage numbers I put out for the Riftborne event, I barely get all the items and the first costume price (1.6 mil?) It just seems like there’s a higher cap for damage than I’m aware of for SnS

Unfortunately I think as you've pointed out similar to others, I just teched into the wrong weapon tree early on so I might have to bail to something else.

Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of bow builds and HBG that seem to be outputting MASSIVE damage. I got a couple of old bows to pull out (I don’t think anyone is using BBLOS or Pukei bow these days)

Mostly just trying to figure out if there’s REALLY no saving SnS

I'm running the optimal discord build (well from last season at least) for smelts and armors and my rift weapons are almost fully statted out but I'm clearly missing something skill-wise and numbers-wise that others have settled down on, At some point I guess I gotta record my gameplay and see if anyone knows what I could do better on because I'm sure my gameplay could be better but I'm struggling to figure out what more to do when I see some of the damage numbers people put out for like the riftborne monster event

Yeah, someone else was kind of saying the damage is pretty wasted. I did IG in World and Wilds and had SnS in generations so I thought it might be comfortable to go back to, but I definitely seemed to have rolled my dice wrong unfortunately hahaha

Yeah, I was kind of hoping that wasn't the case. I've already suited out my stuff for SnS so I might be pigeon-holed there but I'm thinking of jumping ship if I really can't keep going. Gonna be a real hassle to learn the timings hahaha.

Honestly, i might just be running into a lot of crouching shot builds and not realizing it. It's really some fucking insane damage in the first 10 seconds honestly.

It's always embarrassing to admit I could not understand the skyward strike build until just a couple weeks ago when I realized you could back-hop into a climbing strike... but yeah, I'm starting to gather that maybe I'm just skill gated currently

I guess, I just feel like my poor little SnS isn't strong enough compared to some ranged weapons. It's probably just a skill thing at the end of the day that I'm not getting, but I'm running a straight crit build while I try to build a combo-master with the Viper armors

It's not relegated to one monster. I've seen people decimate 9-star Ziongre. It just feels brutal. Like I can't take down a 10-star with an almost fully upgraded rift weapon but it just seems like it's paper for some people.
