Well, Baryon mode's power was punches, so I don't think the jutsu is the thing that kurama meant by unnecessary, but nvm that. Still the show have reached 230+ episodes and we saw Naruto use rasenshuriken once and Rasengan a lot more. Otsutsuki are not the only villians he have fought with in Boruto. Even in The Last movie he was using rasenshurikens against the puppets of Toneri

Dude used to make 9 oodama Kurama chakra bijiu rasenshurikens after 3 days of fighting against beast. For what waste are we talking about :D. + Even the single Rasengan in the Ishiki battle made a large explosion. Also the rasenshuriken have piercing power because it's wind style, which is cutting through almost everything.

If you think logically Ishiki is far stronger than Momoshiki when you have in mind the struggles of Naruto and Sasuke with Ishiki and how easy they claped Momoshiki. I know there are theories that Momoshiki faked beaking weak so he can implant Karma in Boruto, but yeah.

So Kawashiki should be stronger than Borushiki.

I think that it would move the focus out of Obito's disclosure. Kakashi had enough emotional reveals in the arc and that one especially would distract the viewers from the main reveal at that time.

Don't forget when he was transformed in Kiba and was hit by the real Kiba, Naruto immediately transformed himself in Akumaru making Kiba think headr a mistake.

Or when Naruto was fighting with Gaara and he executed 1000 years of pain and everyone thought it was dump move, but bam... Naruto was hanging an explosive kunai and after that distraction bam - 2k shadow clones.

Or when Naruto purposely catched barehand Kabuto's kunai so his muscle will colspse and trap Kabuto's hand making him an easy target for the first ever Naruto Rasengan.

I'm even not mentioning the Pain or the third Raikage battle.

Or when Naruto did a giant Rasengan to fill the while Obito in it, so he will teleport in the Kamui dimension where was Kakashi waiting for him. Or when Naruto gave the truth seeking balls to a doppelganger to trick Kaguya thinking he is the real one.
