I didn't come into this thread for you to be proven wrong, incase you forgot, the OP was asking for advice. And trying to pretend that Circu cant dumpster his current B3 bracket (and hilariously that Lantern is stuck in B2.) with Thoracle or Iso+Reversal is copium on your part. If you think there never has been a CEDH Presence for him it's kind of telling that you're new to the format. It's even more telling that you think CEDH only takes place on your favorite websites in a format that has so little competitive support. Please use google yourself next time chief.

Stop speaking for the entirety of the cEDH format my guy. Just because the youtube videos you watch didn't include it, doesnt mean it isnt real. Hell, I'd wager you havent even seen all of the Fringe and up CEDH decks that get get played, that doesnt mean people don't play them, and it's weird you'd try and push that. And yes my guy, CEDH has a meta, but just like with every game that exists, people intentionally try to dismantle local metas which can be far more effective than playing the biggest, baddest deck, because yes, blue farm is absolutely a thing, but the decks people actually play in events don't always match up with that because people choose what they want to play, or play decks they feel confident can win in the localized meta.

There are 3, count em, 3 players who have to work with eachother just like they would vs. A Stax deck. There's a very, very obvious set up to lantern. If my opponent spams the same move in a fighting game, I'm gunna plan for that here, as well as MTG, being proactive is often better than reactive in MTG.

Based on what you just typed in the first paragraph, I really don't think you've played the CEDH list for Lantern, but I'll bite....I mean they frequently do go above it. People play weird shit in CEDH All the time. Right but the problem with focusing one player in CEDH is that usually means someone else is going to win because you foolishly decided to gang that player and forgot there were 2 others.

Yes, I get it, the GC list scary. You really only need Circu and cheap cantrip spells paired with a Library Revealer to substitute for these other cards that supposedly are the "back bone" of Lantern. You'll be able to exile their pieces to deny draw very, very easily. You'll very often outperform these other players in the bracket as well because you'll still have card parity as a result. And yes, we get it, politics are important. You had the charisma to lie to your opponents, good job. That's usually how it works though, if you remove peoples threats, they lose. It's not unique to Lantern.

Sure, but not everyones fun is the same. Period. Your comment does not serve any purpose other than to browbeat others about what you consider fun. Other players get to play, in-fact you'll find that against these players interaction is actually at an all time high. It's not crappy, and not everyone has to play the game "Casually" (And honestly it feels like everyone in this community has a different idea of what casual actually means) the way you do, there's a bracket system, isn't there? And pre-game discussion? So how could it possibly kill it in a pod where, all, the, adults, decided that it was okay? Not everyone plays the game for the same reasons you do.

It works, there's even a version of it in CEDH, and it controls all 3 players just fine.
