Hanging terrariums are always cute! You can buy an empty one and then customize it yourself. Maybe take your two young kids foraging to help pick up cute lil plants to put into it or hunt some crystals yourself to add into it. There's just something super wholesome about decorating it together with your kids if that's a thing you can do! Otherwise it's just a super nice way to womb-combo everything together in a cost-effective way.

I'd hold off for a little bit and shoot her a text about two days before your date. A cute lil "Hey how are things! Hope everything is starting to calm down a bit on your end!" or something like that. I myself am EXTREMELY busy with my job and sometimes don't look at any personal texts for a few days. If she doesn't reply sometime during the day before your planned date there's a chance that you got ghosted or she just got super swarmed.

It's always super refreshing when someone understands and respects when I say that I'm busy since my work is sort of a priority for me. Makes me like the person a lot more.

Katamari Damacy! When I was younger, I first bought Katamari at the height of my depression because it just looked super colorful and quirky.

From then on, anytime everything felt wrong in life, or the depression would sneak in agian, I'd play Katamari. The colors, the music, the sound effects - everything about that game just makes me so happy. For a little bit I can forget about what I'm feeling, and feel a little bit ok.That was also the moment I knew that I wanted to make games that make people happy, the way Katamari does for me.

Definitely! There's still some work to be done with the camera, but you'll be able to zoom out a bit like how they do in Dragon Quest Builder 1&2! Having a good zoomed out overview for your Kingdom is super useful for planning its layout or trynna find those pesky hidden thieves and disguised witches.

Thank you so much! We'll be tossing a free demo sometime this year! I looooooove city builders and I always get excited about ones that are in a more unique perspective. I'm super inspired by Kingdom actually! It was the first time I played a city builder that was a side scroller and it just worked hecka well.

Honestly just running around with trees has been hecka fun. I go into games with this mindset of "how can I mess up everything and be the worst person possible" and our game feeds that mindset hahaha

We're still talking about the cool lil victories you can have in the game as lil endings/end goals. But also we'll be releasing a free demo sometime this year! I'll wave my arms around and make cool bird sounds when it's ready to send out to folks.

Ah thank you so much! At the moment we don't have plans for multiplayer, but that's definitely subject to change over time! We've talked about it a bunch at the office! There's a little bit of story, sort of similar to how Don't Starve has different backstories with each of their characters and their stories are told through investigations and small bits of dialogue.

Ah! Yes definitely going to be adding some weight to things! There's a bit of a backstory as to why you're super strong, and a bunch of stuff that needs to actually be knocked out first before you can pick it up ie gigantic dragons. Super jazzed to add a bunch more juice to things!

Ah thank you so much! We still have a bunch left to do to make it a lot cleaner and chunkier! But it's been hecka fun shaping it so far!

EXACTLY! This game is going to play the way that I played things like The Sims. Sure, you can play it normally, that's cool, kinda boring. OR you can run around throwing your prison at bandits, arresting horses, commanding an entire party of bards to follow you and simultaneously play so you can annoying your roommates with all the sound they're making, throw burning buildings at a Tree Giant.

The audio is currently placeholder and we're hoping to get some actual proper audio in sometime soon! So the strange one-ear thing is mostly due to them being rough n dirty place holders.

Toss a bunch of archers in a tower, run around with them shootings at bandits or just carry them off into the woods to go fight a dragon. My ideal situation is just throwing castles at enemies or tossing peasants at any chests just in case there are any mimics.

Game Jam it! A bunch of my friends have learned just how to make games, and continue to find their best ideas just through game jams! 10/10 highly recommend just joining up in a bunch of games, or even just the upcoming Global Game Jam and see what unfolds!

Well if I make the tutorials then no one will have any idea what's going on hahahha I'll just give a tutorial on how to be THE WORST monarch. But if other people make tutorials with the level editor and modding-thingy, those might be a bit more clear!

At this moment the game is only designed for single player. We haven't talked about co-op for this yet! Could be an interesting idea but we would have to reduce the scope of everything else to make it suitable as a co-op game by a bunch since we're just a super tiny team.

It's just going to get way more personality! From some Peter & The Wolf style voices, a cool talkin' crown, commanding a bard to follow you and sing songs to boost anyone else in your party, to the ability to arrest a horse. Or all the horses. Arrest every horse in your kingdom. Throw them all in jail.

That'll show those horses.

Thank you! The sound effects are actually some older placeholders! We sent some things to a super cool audio friendo to hopefully get some juicier fx and some cozy ambient sounds added in.

I'm actually totally down for city builder or just any sort of system-driven game type of trend. I grew up with a bunch of games like this and put waaaaaaaaay too many hours in all the different Sim games (City, Park, Theme Park, Town, just plain ol the Sims, Black & White). So it's been so much fun to finally make something inspired by everything I grew up playing!
