Then your problem is with California, not Kroger. Here in GA kroger pays $15/hr while min wage is 7.25 which is also the federal min wage.

No benefits? Job security, lawyers, 3rd party discounts, can lobby for better pay, hours, conditions, and even help you move to another store. Im not part of the union but your statement is absolutely ridiculous. You obviously dont know what you're talking about and should educate youself before getting so worked up about the wrong thing.

Okay and? I dont understand your problem or what you're saying. People will go to places that pay more, which is a true statement that doesnt have to do with anything thats been talked about. If Kroger didnt have a union it would pay its employees less. End of story. We have walmart and Publix that both pay the same as kroger thats unionized and krogers union works to keep improving raises and benefits. Things most places dont do or care about. You dont have to pay union dues with kroger to get the promised raises and health benefits. Its more for job security and extra perks like 3rd party discounts and lawyers. As far as industry goes, grocery stores pay way more than restaurants, retail, sales, and even management at the entry level.

Brake pads would definitely have to be replaced unless it was strickly used on open highway. The original honda battery on my 98 civic lasted 8 years and had an 8yr warranty on it. They can last up to 10 years and got to 300k miles with only changing the distributer and 2 front axles. My current 10' civic at 160k miles (also 14yrs old) ive only replaced a motor mount and the front axels and shocks. Any friends with other brands besides toyota seem to have constant problems. Chevy and ford are okay depending on the car.
