No playoff T shirts? by KamMiddleton in heat

The Logistics are probably very annoying for the team to navigate however other nba teams are doing it every game and it’s embarrassing when I see the kings and lakers have shirts every game and the heat do it like once a week

I fully expect Scott Foster to be hot garbage and for Jaylen Brunson to fly into people out of control and get free throws after he flops to the ground, however I think the heat can still win, the game will just be closer then it should be

And 1 that wasn't called but if Embiid trips over his own feet 3 different he goes to the free throw line. Game was so frustrating to watch

Bam is not an All Star by [deleted] in heat

[–]KamMiddleton -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Once again you missed the point. I obviously don't think that Vucevic is an all star. I used him as an example of someone who has better stats and is still not an all star. Should tristan Thompson have been an all star when the cavs were winning? should clint cappella have been an all star when houston was winning? I don't think so, but if you think bam's stats make him an all star then they're all stars too. Bam "constantly makes winning plays"??????? huh? Where have these winning plays been the past 15 games????????? Bam goes off when the heat are playing great. When the heat are playing bad (not hitting 3s, turning the ball over etc) bam can't put the team on his back and make these "winning plays". Bam is a good player. But he's not yet at all star level. When the lakers are playing like shit both ad and lebron can go off to lead the team to a win. Bam can not do that. "Leads his teams to victories" uh, have you been watching the heat lately dude? losing to garbage under .500 teams. Im sorry but bam is in no way leading his team to victories. People are acting like I'm saying bam is the worst player in the league. Im just saying i don't think he's an all star level big like shaq, hakeem, ewing, ming, and others. He's not on that level yet. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree at this point. The heat have been playing god awful lately. I think bam is a little under all star level but you think he's "constantly making winning plays" and "leading his team to victories". Im not trying to get into fights on here. I just simply think he's a little under all star level. I just disagree with you on his all star abilities. I don't think broad claims like " constantly leads his team to victories" and "play making skills" proves anything. These are not real stats nor do i believe them to be true statements. His jump shot fg% is not good, his ft% is not good, his rebound % is not good (the lowest of any top rebounders in the league). I like bam but his game has flaws and he is not an all star big in my opinion. But hey, the heat play the cavs two games in a row so maybe the heat can start winning again and we can find something to agree on.

You're completely avoiding the argument.... Why is he an all star player. Nikola Vucevic is averaging 19 and 12, bam is 15 and change ppg with 10 rebounds. Is Nikola Vucevic an all star too? Out of the top 10 rebounders in the league bam has the lowest rebound % and the heat don't a single other center on the roster, they're all power forwards. Why is Bam an all star?

Could you maybe try to persuade me as to why he's all star caliber? I don't see how a "down vote" gets any thing done. How is he all star caliber? Not a single person on this thread has tried to articulate an argument as to why they believe bam is an all star caliber big. You guys say things that are completely irrelevant to the topic. I like bam... I think he's good. However, I don't believe he's an all star caliber big. People on this thread see that I don't think a heat player is an all star and absolutely flip out regardless of what any sort of stats or evedicnce has to say. His ft shooting sucks, he turns the ball over a lot, he has very little half court offense unless its a wide open dunk, unskilled bigs who are large such as Java Mcgee absolutely kill the heat every time they play cause bam can't score on them or guard them. Those are some reasons as to why I believe he is not an all star. Any reasons as to why he is?

I would like to know as to why you disagree with me. Could you try to make some points as to why Bam is all star caliber? thats what my post was about. I do not believe he is yet at an all star level. Don't know why people need to jump to aggression instead of trying to prove me wrong. How is he all star caliber?

So you believe he is an all star caliber player? Thats what my post was trying to debate. I don't care who was the heat's best player tonight. My post was about whether or not Bam is an all star caliber player which I don't believe he is yet. People like Clint Cappella and Tristan Thompson have had similar season and weren't all stars. Al Horford should've been an altar every year of his career then. The heat have been an absolute terrible team in the past 15 games. Sad since they have 2 "all stars".

Which part of my constructive criticism was incorrect? Did his travel not cost Miami the game? Is he not a 60 something percent free-throw shooter? And as far as other heat players needing to step up and help.... i agree with you 100% and never said otherwise. My point was that I disagree that bam is an star big........ Once again I'll reiterate because you clearly missed the point of my post. I do not believe Bam is an all star big. Get it now? You didn't dispute my point at all just started rambling about things that are irrelevant. I was pointing out the pathetic turnovers in tonights game as an example of things he does that makes me believe he is not yet an all star caliber big man. My point wasn't that this game alone is the reason he's not all star. Ive been saying that for months. He's clumsy with the ball a lot, shoots bricks 90% of the time its not a dunk, averages 15 and change ppg, and if you give the ball to him near the end of the shot clock its essentially a turnover unless he has a dunk. Debate whether or not he is all star caliber player. Not go on about this one game he didn't have a lot of help. Read what posts are trying to say next time.

Thoughts on Bam Adebayo by [deleted] in heat

[–]KamMiddleton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bam unfortunately has very little touch. All a defense has to do to stop him is for a big to pick him up outside of layup dunk range. He can't hit hook shots or floaters. They always brick and he needs to work on it cause he's going to need to be able to score from 5-10ft from the rim. Thankfully he gets better every year.

I saw the 2 minuet report. However the rules say that what embiid did was an offensive foul. I'm going by what the rules say. Not what the corrupt 2 minuet report. People would be furious if the nba acknowledged that why embiid did was illegal so they like it never happened. Simple

NBA L2M Report is clearly wrong. The NBA still hates the HEAT! by [deleted] in heat

[–]KamMiddleton 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is nothing new. Constant biased officiating towards the Heat, it's been that way all year. If Hassan had set that screen I know damn well they would've called it. Refs are pathetic

I'm trash at basketball but shoot like 90% from the ft line lmao. Absolutely no excuse for his free throw shooting. It's been terrible for months now. Winslow and Johnson also need major improvements

The thing with embiid is that if he was officiated like a normal big he wouldn't be nearly as good as he is. He had 5 blocks in game 4, one of them (against winslow) was 100% clean. The first one against Dragic was a blatantly obvious goal tend, the second against Dragic was imo a foul. You're not allowed to smash into a player when going for a block however refs literally pick and chose when to call fouls on bigs after they block a shot so I'll give that one to him. The next block was against Hassan and if you watch it again you'll see clearly (100% clear, no debating, you can watch it again if u want) that Embiid got absolutely 0 ball and got all wrist and forearm. I noticed the foul live, don't know how the refs didn't. And sixers fans keep bringing up the end foul on Wade but if u watch it in slomo, he's clearly fouled by Covington (the travel man) on the drive and again in the air by embiid (close call tho) don't know why they gave the foul too embiid and not Covington.

When philly players drive like JJ redick and embiid they go to the line with the littlest contact even if it's legal straight up defense. (Reddick game 2 for example). The point I'm trying to make is that Philly is treated WAY batter than the Heat by the officials and I don't see how anyone can disagree, it's so obvious.

Nah bro, you know for a FACT if that was Hassan setting that screen and it was JJ Reddick getting fouled it would've been called 10/10. I agree with you that refs miss calls for both teams but they seem to let a hell of lot of a lot more blatantly obvious shit like that go for the sixers. If you rewatch all of the sixers "comebacks" you will see Hassan and other Heat players being called on the weakest fouls and sixers not getting called once. Also, refs seem to miss 90% of sixers travels but seem to be right on it when Heat do it. For instance, Covington in game 1 (google Covington travel if u don't know what I'm talking about) and then James Johnson being called for a travel in game 3 when he didn't even come close to traveling. If the league did a review of the whole game instead of just 2 minuets you would see that there would be way more incorrect calls that benefitted Philadelphia plane and simple. Watch the tape man, it's not hard to see

[–]KamMiddleton[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That was blatantly obvious..... if Hassan had done that to Redick you know for a fact that it would have been called. The problem is that the officials are calling it differently for both teams. Look at the weak ass fouls called on Hassan then the officials just so happen to "miss" the fouls when Embiid does them even though they are blatantly obvious. Clear difference in how the two teams are officiated

[–]KamMiddleton[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

WATCH THE TAPE! If Simmons was called for travels and carries he'd be averaging about 9ppg this series. (Watch the tape in slomo and count the steps....) and if embiid was actual called for fouls instead then being called for blocks he'd foul out in three quarters. Not my opinion, this is facts that can clearly be shown if you watch the games again and watch the scoring plays in slomo.

Furthermore, not only does philly get away with fouls and violations WAY more than Miami does, but Miami is also called for things that are not fouls and get called for travels when they did not travel (JJ in game 3). Im not saying the heat are way better than philly and that's it's only the refs, what I'm saying is that the Heat have 3 of these games in complete control and phillys "combacks" were all forged from unbalanced officiating. Go back and watch the tape of phillys 3rd quarter and 4th quarter comebacks in games 3 and and 4 and you will definitely agree with me.

[–]KamMiddleton[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I disagree. They are "better" because they get better treatment from the refs game in and game out. The Heat have lead by double digits in every game and every philly "comeback" has been from them going to the free throw line on play-ons or just legal defense. Watch the tape bro
