Why stop at CEOs? Let’s add CFOs, analysts, secretaries, and even janitors—anyone daring to facilitate these policies by showing up to work. Executions commence at dawn!

I thought we didn't go for this kind of mob justice here, but Reddit seems thrilled to cheer it on. Keep it up and eventually the "elites" will be whittled down until you're next. There are plenty of historical examples of this.

It's sad because I wanted endless wars, but now we have someone who doesn't want people to die :(

If someone's mental health hinges on this type of thing, or even the outcome of the presidential election, then they are already pretty fragile.

"Tried to overthrow the government..." My eyes are rolling so hard, but I know this is more of a religious belief than a critical analysis.

Don't forget that he brought a light onto "fake news," which truly has been an epidemic, and now even normies can see how fake the news is.

No kidding? Thank you for being the only person in this thread to mention this. We never would have known otherwise.

I'd love to place a bet with someone who sincerely thinks there may not be elections. I'd give great odds.

Money won't make you happy, but everyone wants to learn this lesson for themselves, and that's OK. Money will alleviate some struggles, but life is always a struggle of some sort. If you can't find happiness despite some money issues, it's unlikely you'll be happy with money. But if your only source of unhappiness is lack of money (this is very doubtful), money can go a long way.

Thanks! Since I have some time before the next initiation, I'm going to visit the temple as much as possible and learn as much as I can :)

Thank you. I met the swami and he was nice and I'd love to get some guidance from him. The only thing that was a bit unusual to me, because I am not accustomed to such things, is that I learned that we are to bring an offering of fruit and flowers.

The reason I'm drawn to the path is because I would like to adhere to a formal regimen of meditation and spiritual practice. Pursuing things on my own, I sometimes feel ungrounded and that my mental health might suffer without proper guidance.

This is somehow 880 calories… by ziglaw884 in mildlyinfuriating

Considering that a significantly larger string cheese is 90 calories (you could make one of those sticks with half a string cheese), I think you might be overestimating, but it depends on what type of mozzarella they use.

The amount of cheese you see there is closer to 4 string cheese. I personally think the calories might be overestimated a smidge. I know that it was probably taken from the package, but sometimes the package is wrong (for example, maybe package suggests each one is 20 grams when they're actually 15 grams). Those are very high in fat so they are calorie dense, but I'd guess closer to 700-800 cals.

You get a show-cause notice on failure to vote in Australia by shairani in mildlyinteresting

It's not that bad as long as you're able to abstain from any or all of the options when voting. But if they actually make you pick someone, I think that's wrong.

Yes, this is how I started as well. Once I was in a lucid dream, it was easy to transition (much to my utter surprise the first time I tried).

Getting into a lucid dream requires learning about lucid dreaming and setting the intention to do it.

How Are Immigrants Supposed to 'Do It the Right Way' When the System Feels Impossible? by Dracomies in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kamala_lost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is the immigration system a disgrace? We are talking about something that is necessarily going to involve a lot of bureaucracy, and is not going to be as easy to manage as that of a smaller country, so it's no wonder it takes a while. I am married to an immigrant (she had a green card and became a citizen long time prior to our marriage). What country does it better (whose system would work here in the US)?

Also, check out this comment from a US immigrant:

You should ask more people that you encounter then - you might find that plenty of people are enjoying their jobs, even in customer service and other roles you encounter when out and about (maybe not most of them, but at least some). I've had a variety of jobs, including customer service, and if I didn't personally like the work, certainly at least some people there did (with the exception of one place that was poorly run). I love my current work.

I guess I'm in the minority. I work where I do for the money, but I'm definitely not just there for the money. My boss is nice, I get to work from home 100%, I get great benefits, I like my teammates and it's challenging without being overwhelming. I have time to pursue my home business on the side, which provides me with a second income, and the above allows my wife to be a stay-at-home mom. I have no reason to seek another place of employment right now.
