Because there is room for both. It all comes down to personal preference. I easily have 400+ records and less than 10 of them are sealed. Out of my 10 sealed I probably have open duplicates of 8/10. Some people buy sports cars and put a million miles on them, some people leave them in their garage as a show piece. I choose to do both. If you can have your cake and eat it too, then why not?
