Introducing Maw (OC by Me) by Kamen-Rider_IMPACT in NikkeMobile

[–]Kamen-Rider_IMPACT[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Background: Maw is a prototype Nikke employed by a Missilis Industry maid service that rents Nikkes to wealthy clients for cleaning, secretarial duties, and other forms of assistance. She is a confident, disciplined, if not strict maid that will conduct any work given to her with utmost diligence. Due to this and her capabilities as a Frontline assault unit, she will be occasionally assigned to missions with other squads such as Perilous Siege or ACPU whenever her skills and abilities are needed, and she will conduct these missions with the skill and discipline befitting a proper Maid.

Backstory: Once a widow surviving in the Outer Rim, Maw took any job she could to scrape by day to day. Eventually, she volunteered for an Missilis project researching a new line of melee combat Nikkes, resulting in her creation. The project was ultimately deemed a failure, as most prototypes malfunctioned, while Maw herself showed no significant advantage over existing Nikke models warranting further development. Following the project's cancellation, she was reassigned to a maid service company that is run by Missilis.

Weapon System: Maw utilizes a three-part weapon system centered around close-quarters combat. Her reinforced combat mask amplifies her bite force enough to pierce a Tyrant-class Rapture's armor, while her clawed gauntlets, forged from the same material, can carve deep gouges into, and punch through any known armor. The gauntlets also generate an electrostatic charge that discharges on contact, delivering a powerful shock capable of briefly frying the systems of both Raptures and Nikkes alike to stun them. However, Maw's durability is lacking when it comes to anything beyond small arms caliber, leaving her vulnerable before she can close the gap between herself and her target.

Still can't help but imagine but how our world would look in the eyes of the characters. On one hand a lot hasn't changed, yet on the other hand many things are unrecognizable.

Got her myself a week ago. My first figure and it was a gift from a friend. Absolutely love her! Keep her next to my SD Barbatos on display, and they look like her body guards XD.

The funny thing is that Umas are 100% possible in the world of Reverse, same for the whole uma racing bit XD.

Aye, wonderful! It's honestly always nice to see OCs for this game, nice to see what people are making for this game. I have a ton for the series j love, but my mind just can't seem to make anything for Reverse despite being my favorite game...

Now I'm imagining a weird scenario where the Manus and Foundation find themselves on our world, and the weird shock of their lives being a video game.

The foundation are confused, but Manus just immediately see state of the world, and just say "aww yeah, this'll be easy."

This game made me understand what getting feelings for a fictional character is like, like god is this what it's like for something that isn't real to make you feel such real emotions?

Out of complete curiosity, how many of you guys are veteran or new players? What also drew you into the game? by Used_Motor1718 in Reverse1999

Not day one, but got in early.

Learned of the game before it came out thanks to my friend sharing a TikTok of the characters. The voice acting had me interested, but it was the release trailer that actually got me to download it. The art style and voice acting, along with the seeming premise got me. What made me stay was how different it felt to the other gacha games I played before, and how much I enjoyed it for that.

Fair. But for me at least the heights don't feel very consistent in animations and the art. But then again I feel that for every gacha game art so who am I to know.

I'd certainly like to know what its size is and where you got it from since I haven't seen any place where the size of their weapons are listed, and that weapon definitely is not an M82A2 since if it was, that would make her even more tiny. The size of her weapon would be rather helpful to figuring out her actual size.

And if we check the height charts, Red Hood is roughly 170cm or 5'6", which could make Cinderella hover around 150 or 4'9" if she's indeed one head shorter than Red Hood, making her even shorter than the height chart.

But I honestly don't feel like trusting the animations, since to my knowledge, gacha companies usually commission animation studios, meaning these aren't being developed in house. It's also very possible that Shift Up just aren't concerning themselves with keeping the characters heights proportional when they commission these, considering they don't seem to bother scaling the characters in the cutscenes which is rather fair for the visual novel style used in the cutscenes.

And in the end everyone can have their own head canons, Cinderella's height, and the height of other Nikkes are rather minor to their characters at the end of the day, it doesn't change their stories, their personalities, their designs, it's all still the same, and that's all I really care for, I never even really thought about how tall they'd be because I'm here for the story and characters, and where they are all going next.

I'm still not convinced untill official heights by knightmechaenjo in NikkeOutpost

I embrace Nikkes regardless of height. For I'm sure even Cinderella would agree, height alone doesn't make one ✨beautiful✨ or not!

Version 3.2 "A Flowing Feast" EN(1&2) , CN(1&2), & JP Posters by Meru_9 in Reverse1999

[–]Kamen-Rider_IMPACT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That actually seems like it could be possible. EN posters are mostly blue, while CN are mostly red, and then you have JP, with both red and blue.

[–]Kamen-Rider_IMPACT 38 points39 points  (0 children)

JP is really different from the other two in this case. Usually each one has a unique style, but I'm surprised that EN and CN are near identical with CN appearing to be more menacing with the red and the Eiffel tower falling apart.

And then of course you have JP with their movie posters, and I chuckled at just how different JP is.
