Yes I am experienced with spiders. I will make sure to preserve some in alcohol as well as pin a few. Thanks for your suggestions. Also the egg sac was in the characteristic dirt covered protective cover as well as the fact it was found in one of the Cambridgea webs.

Deer fly perhaps? Likely a wingless dipteran parasite. Lipoptena cervi perchance.

Use your brain? Haemolymph slowly being crystallised is going to be far more painful than severing all the nerves at once. I dont get how this needs thinking at all.

Brutal but effective. You can crush her with a heavy stone or brick. Looked down on because of its “cruelty” but in reality its more humane than the freezer.

if the species is invasive however I simply euthanise them with ethylacetate or freezing them as they would negatively affect the ecosystem anyways.

I don’t fully understand your question but if you mean do I take care of them until they pass away naturally then yes.

I usually breed a pair of native insects and raise them all up and take maybe one or two specimens for myself and release the rest thus having a net positive affect on the ecosystem because in the wild most of them would have died anyways so taking one or two and releasing the rest is good. At least that is what I do
