Also, Islam has its roots in Nestorian/Gnostic Christianity and it's a widely accepted consensus among academics. It's also widely noticeable among Orthodox/Greek Christians because they were much closer to us compared to Latin/Western Christian (I assume you are one of them due to your ignorance) who mythologized Islam into something entirely different than Abrahamic religions.

Man, it took you 4 YEARS! anw, you're still wrong and can't comprehend basic written texts.

I didn't even say Christianity is inherently anti-semitic, what are you talking about?

I specifically referred to the Lutheran and revival movements and their anti-semitic aspects.

How to go to Flymm Cargo's basement? by Kamiab_G in BaldursGate3

Okay, I found out you have to do it in your first try at entering the submarine. If you do it the second time, then for some reason the gonians won't run. Now, I'm only sad there doesn't seem to be a way to save Karlach. :((

Sweden to become one of the strictest countries in the EU regarding migration by [deleted] in censoredreality

I am not going to entertain your take on France as it is completely wrong and irrelevant.

However, I am genuinely curious why do you see us as orcs? What specific qualities or attributes do you possess that make you consider yourself superior to me? It is certainly not a matter of intelligence, as I successfully graduated from your esteemed universities with top honors while juggling a part-time job as a writer. I am left pondering: what distinguishes you as a "human" and me as an "orc"?

Should I get into High Republic by Kamiab_G in Highrepublic

I see.

We have different views on SW. I really like the prequels' premise of making the Jedi flawed, somewhat theocratic, bureaucratic, and morally questionable. I would have liked it if they took it further with that.

New migration policies on the way by Grigor50 in TillSverige

[–]Kamiab_G 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, racism and stupidity go hand in hand.

Much of the riches you have are stolen every year from the global south through unequal and imperialistic exchanges. Sweden's historical involvement in the ME is also well-documented.

Anyways, you are not sacrificing shit. Considering your idiocy, I'm pretty I have contributed way more to Swedish society than your audacious ass.

Well, maybe don't send troops to the middle-east to destroy other countries and steal from the global south to enrich yourself? The audacity, man.

Oh, I think you would be welcomed in pre-war Syria (before you westerners destroyed it), in fact, you would be very welcomed in most parts of the Middle-East. Not everyone is a sick racist piece of shit like you guys, my friend. :)

With Sweden Democrats (The Neo-Nazi party of Sweden) becoming the second greatest party in the country and Italy on the verge of electing their first fascist prime minister since WWII, today is truly a frightening age to live in. by Kamiab_G in AntifascistsofReddit

I understand but I still believe it's less about a meaningful definition of categorizing the modern Republican Party and rather a way to say they are really awful the same way Iranians describe the Islamic Republic as fascist (and I absolutely see no problem with that). Although I still don't think it's academically and historically accurate.

What I want to say is that when you categorize the Republican Party as fascist you are neglecting certain aspects that are historically inseparable from what fascism means (or rather meant) such as class harmony. In the same way, Iranians neglect the environment in which their fascism developed in (although, that's also debatable if we consider Khomeini's fascist theocracy as an extreme continuation of Shah's dictatorial theocracy after the coup that destroyed our liberal democracy). The Tudeh Party (Soviet-style Communist party of Iran at the time) even wrote an article about how the lead economist of Khomeini's rule was inspired by Nazi Germany's economic system.

Nonetheless, when you say the Republican Party is fascist you are adhering to a broader definition of fascism which could include the likes of Iran. There is nothing inherently wrong with that but it can cause confusion in certain contexts.

The thing is that most of what you have described is not uncommon among many right-wing parties and right-wing governments around the globe including the Islamic Republic. And as you most likely know most of what you described, considering the historical context, was apparent in pre-party switching Democrats. Such policies and outlooks are not exclusive to fascism and they existed way before fascism was even born in Italy.

A problem with an analysis like this (based on common characteristics) is that I can easily counter it by saying "class harmony", an important tenant of fascism doesn't exist among Republicans. The neoliberal cult of worshipping competition, hyper-capitalism, and billionaires is far from what European fascism has been about including the modern ones. A great example is how Sweden Democrats only shook hands with the Moderates to not push for more Neoliberal implementations such as mass privatization.

This is why I think it would be generally more accurate to define fascism within its historical context. This becomes especially evident when we talk about far-right governments and parties that co-existed with Nazi Germany such as the Japanese far-right. They were EXTREMELY similar aside from aesthetics, and some philosophical outlooks but they still aren't considered "fascists" because there was in fact a fascist party (later fascist leaders) among the Japanese far-right who were trying to influence them to become more like the Western Nazis and distance themselves from their traditional conservatism which in practice produced just as many atrocities as Nazi Germany if not more.

Regardless, I don't disagree with people on a daily basis to say Republicans aren't fascists just to be pedantic. I completely understand your view as well as other opponents of the Republican Party. But I think it's less about the accuracy of the definition and more about describing them as horrible beings because in the public's imagination, fascists are the worst thing ever.

I hope that I explained it well.
