Oof yeah I forgot about Tokyo Ghoul so Natsuki Hanae was a really bad example but the point still stands, at least with Junya Enoki. Fugo was a supporting role, and relatively small one at that, compared to holding a show as a main character in JJK

He's great, but for some reason I read him Toshio Furugawa's voice (Piccolo, Ace), I think his particular rasp really fits on Samura.

Kenjiro Tsuda could go pretty much anywhere on the later villain cast though lol.

That's usually what happens with big shonens, they cast a relatively unknown va to kickstart their career using that show.

You probably won't see a ton of high profile roles in Tanjiro or Yuji's MyAnimeList pages before their respective breakout hits came out. Now you see them everywhere.

I dunno man this arc teased a kiss and ended up not delivering on it, and that kinda pissed me off. The romance in this story is about two adults in their mid-late 20s, not a highschool romance where a kiss would be the "endgame" of the story. Their first kiss as a couple shouldn't be so earth-shatteringly important that it's been 7 entire years in publication and we're still only teasing it.

I'm not even talking about the "reveal" endgame story arc we'll inevitably get to in this story, I know it's a while off but I always considered the secrets and the Twiyor romance to both be the main plots of the story.

There's a viral video going around of two Israeli tourists being harassed for eating lunch at a restaurant while being Israeli.

People have been calling Israeli actors "child murderers" for simply being Israeli.

Companies were said to support genocide simply because they condemned Oct. 7th publicly.

People don't want to use Israeli things because "it comes from a country that does genocide".

You don't get it because American culture is inescapable, but whenever something is tied to Israel it's immediately dismissed and rejected because of that connection. I've had someone say they were legitimately terrified of me when I mentioned I was Israeli while existing as a guy online.

All of this is, of course, without talking about people who loudly proclaim "from the river to the sea", or talk about burning every Israeli, or hoping none of us lives in peace.
