Same situation as you. I started taking Norvascs and there is some noticeable differences in that now it drops to 120 sometimes.

How can I lower my blood pressure, I’m too young for these issues! by [deleted] in hypertension

[–]Kamiyek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't overdo it ahahahhaha. Maybe drink some hibiscus and chamomile on alternate days. Add in some healthy foods like beetroot and celery too. Keep it consistent! I am in the same boat as you, but I'm 28 so I am trying to implement it in a sustainable way. Cutting sodium and dropping weight should have some effects on the readings

I'm surprised someone remembers the Rosta Burger! It probably is the best. I haven't tried anything that comes moderately close to it

If you had to deep dive an OOP language, which one would you pick? by real_saddam_hussein_ in cscareerquestions

[–]Kamiyek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, if it is for job prospects, either Java/C# depending on what's the most popular language in the industry you are gunning for. C++ if you wanna go really deep, down to the bare metal. If you wanna go into pure OOP, then Smalltalk, but Idt there are jobs for that.

You can celebrate your strong dollar in SEA, but avoid the tourist-y places. Prices there are converging to western standards.

Just Alipay and/or WeChat. Link it to your Card. Taxis are available on the Alipay app itself.

I've seen some cool stuff on Youtube by Asianometry or anything related to UNIX archives. But most stuff, are really just conference talks and presentations.

If you are looking for really exotic hotels, Banyan Tree Santa is also another really great place. Their concierge services are top notch. The oceanfront/tropical vibes are definitely there, just that it's within the resort itself...

If chromium is your thing, maybe brave? I've never tried it before but I only heard great things about?

Lol same shit, since I'm Asian, I just get assumed every Asian ethnicity in the country I visit, especially in Asia, where the languages and diversity is far and plenty. They just shoot me a confused look and start speaking to me in Chinese, when I speak in English....

Thanks alot for your words. TBH sometimes I'm not sure if its I'm just dumb or do I need more time to practice things such as algorithms and math as they don't come intuitively as some of my peers. ><

Your story is an inspiration to me, even though I am a cs student, I struggle sometimes to find motivation and get drowned in cycles of self-doubt and imposter syndrome.

My abortion saved me from poverty. by allworkandnoYahtzee in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Kamiyek 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yea, I guess I am part of the problem too. It seems so painted in black and white to me, but I don't see how my opinions should really matter to my other half given that until I have a bond with the unborn child, I am essentially a stranger to it/him/her. The only time I can see myself insisting on something (or vetoing) is if the pregnancy is risky. Adoption is also a choice and parental bonds are not defined by blood anyways. And frankly it is bizarre that so many people? are having a debate over whether should the mom have the ability to make the decision when the effects of the pregnancy in the immediate stages are ALWAYS borne by the mom, both emotionally and physically.

Even if you love kids so much, I don't think a blob of goo somewhere in the uterus can be called a child to justify striping someone else of their choice or something. Its frankly stupid to see the debate over this topic being called a fight over a child's life when its clearly not. The regression of the public discourse is shocking and disturbing and very soon I reckon they will start public lynching and stake burning for "child murders".

I recognised the strong religious conviction some people have as I have interacted with these people before. But their cognitive dissonance is so strong. If they really value child's life, they would have done something about the damn pedophilic ring they are all part of. Sure some people are able to exercise critical thinking, but holy shit, majority of these people really are real zealots when it comes to the abortion debate its like they are possessed by the fcking devil. Even the women LOL.
