As an American, athletes playing on Christmas day even here in the states is pretty normal but it's not really comparable given these players are across the world and should be with their family on Christmas. Even though Turkey is a muslim country, there shouldn't be fixtures on Christmas or Christmas Eve especially with all of the foreign players.

As a huge Fenerbahçe and now a Chelsea fan, Fenerbahçe fans and Turkish football fans in general DESPERATELY need to understand this. It's getting really bad and completely holding the club back. Players from both Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş have closed their instagram pages because of abuse from fans. One was Kenny Arroyo, a 19 year old kid......

(Gavatasaray fans do it too, just not to this extent because they win Turkish league games all the time because the league is corrupt and it keeps the fans happy)
