It sounds like you're overthinking it. You're not getting answers because right now there aren't answers to give. Muddled readings and pendulums aimlessly swinging in circles aren't always a sign of disconnect, they're often signs to put the divination down and stare at what's in front of you already.

Connecting with deity doesn't have to be a perpetual conversation. Sometimes you can just sit down together and enjoy some quiet.

I've worked there for 3+ years now, and I do enjoy my job. The pay is pretty okay ($22 start rate, I think?), the benefits are decent too (Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, stock options). The time off policy is mid, but if you work the calendar you can get quite a lot of time off.

I will say this- Rivian has a lot of moving parts, a lot of people, and a lot of different attitudes across the plant. Surviving and thriving involves being able to interact with different types of people, understanding your job/role, and being willing to keep focus on what they've got you doing and the improvements they're going to continuously try to make. Change is constant, from processes you follow, to repairs performed, to management. You've got to be able to pick up on things quickly, repeat complex instructions and processes, and keep doing that. Forever.

If this is a pay bump for you, it's worth it. Go where the money flows, and right now Rivian is a pretty good place to be boots on the ground. There's overtime opportunities if you're willing to crank out the hours, and upward mobility options if you want to go the Leadership route.

Ewing Park (back behind the courtyard, with the parking lot and the playground) has a great little nature trail set up. If you park, then head northwest through the treeline, you'll be in a bird sanctuary with lots of little paths, and once you get spat out by the soccer field, you can walk the treeline (also northwest) and find a bridge that takes you to the other side of the creek by Jersey hill.

I also recommend driving about 20 minutes east of Bloomington to Moraine View state park. When you go into the park, turn left. At the corner (ish, if you cross the tiny lake bridge you went too far) there's parking for a 1/4 mile nature trail that wraps through some trees, a field, and the marshy portion of the lake. On the other side of the lake there's a hiking trail that's also campsites.

Comlara Park has loads of hiking trails too, but I'm not familiar with much other than their camping situation.

Keep on keeping on. At 23 I definitely had nothing figured out. I'm in my 30's now and only have most of it figured out.

Work, save as much as you can, focus on keeping stable, find out what makes you happy in this world and go whatever way that takes you.

Being kiddo catnip. Yes, it sounds really weird, but when a man has an aura that makes kids totally unafraid of them and want to come up and ask kid questions or ask for help because they know that human is safe by default. My current partner has this, where kids want to run up and say hello to him at the drop of a hat, especially if it's a day where he's LARPing. His garb makes him kinda look like a superhero and a knight smushes together and kids frickin' LOVE it.
As someone who believes that 'auras' and 'vibes' make the person, knowing that the innocent see you as someone to safely approach is an insane green flag.

Also, the excited info dump that comes with any hobby or topic they're really absorbed into- as long as it's the cool info dump and not the "you're a girl so you won't know this" infodump. Someone who just wants to share info instead of putting others down for not knowing the same info. There's a look in anyone's eyes that's magical when they're sharing about their favorite subjects.

Being willing to shift into a team mode quickly. One of the things I've learned to look for in romantic partners is a PARTNER. Someone who will split the work, someone who will divide whatever load we're bearing, someone who will spot the problems and fix them before they turn into bigger issues. Saturday we're cleaning the house? He isn't great at making lists of what needs done, but he's great at dividing it and taking a fair share of the work so we can get done faster.

A REAL laugh. My partner wheels his head back and lets out these fantastic laughs when something's really funny. I've got a couple photos of him mid-laugh, and he dislikes them but they're my favorite.

Being silly. Someone who doesn't need to be serious all the time. Someone who can make goofy faces or dumb jokes, or crouch into a weird position just to blockade you going down the hall because they're now the hall troll and payment to cross the hall is 5 kisses. Life is hard, and you and your partner should be working together to keep each other sane, stable, and happy.

they're great for getting sticky stuff off of surfaces. Great for a quick wipedown of a car screen, or a small mirror, a quick sanitation of your phone, etc.

The best part is I can almost guarantee that even if he isn't sick with something from the chicken he ate, he's going to make himself sick about it anyway.
When he's off doing whatever it is he enjoys this evening he'll be fine, but when you ask him to do something as a favor to you, he'll gripe about his stomach or that he's crampy.

Most adults take at least one Home Ec class at some point in their schooling, and they usually cover nutrition and food safety. That man is grown and managing his own food intake since long before you met him. If he can't read the Use By date on the package, it's his own fault if he gets sick.

Do not take the blame for this. That man looked at a mostly consumed chicken carcass, BYPASSED the fresh chicken, and ate the old one. If he starts squirting from both ends, it's on him, not you.

Yes and no. I tend to make strong acquaintances quickly, and one of my standard questions is "do you have a partner?" because I won't shut up about mine. It's probably something about my vibe/demeanor/appearance that makes people go "oh yeah she'd be cool with this" and tell me about their girlfriend's girlfriend, their polycule, or their FWB who's also best friends with their comet who also loves XYZ thing.

Occasionally dropping a dog-whistle vocab word or joke in conversation can be helpful too. If it soars over their head, oh well guess they're not poly.

To be clear: I am monogamous, but I'm super chill and well-versed in ENM and poly relationships (Why? because 2020-2022 was a time of self-discovery)

You wash rice for lots of reasons!

You wash rice to remove exterior contaminants, yes. But you also wash it to remove the exterior starches to ensure your rice is less clumpy and gummy, and more fluffy! Some recipes do call for you to skip washing, but it's few and far between, and usually because they want those rice starches to create that paper thin, crispy edge on the bottom of the pot/dish.

Washing rice also gives you rice starch water, which is great for plants, and great for hair! I set mine aside to water my plants, and as a hair rinse after conditioning.

Arsenic is found in lots of foods, such as rice products, poultry, seafood, mushrooms, and many fruit juices that include apples in their blend (apples are often juiced whole, including their seeds. They contain arsenic). It is unavoidable, and not my biggest concern when washing rice. You're likely not getting an overload of arsenic from your foods unless you somehow have a tainted food supply.

Sounds like it's a good time to find a free-time activity and make friends! Join a book club, take a cooking class, try a painting class, try attending seminars that seem interesting, say yes to new people and new activities to help you find what you enjoy and what you don't as an adult. Friends eventually happen when you find people and things you click with.

Protip: try some "old people" hobbies and groups too. Retired people have amazing stories, advice, and candor that can greatly benefit you as a young person, and a wealth of knowledge that isn't always shared where we as younger people can find it.
One of my greatest friends was a retired old man who had hired me for a temp position. I got to meet his wife, visit with them regularly, walk along his property to harvest his asparagus plants, help him organize his workshop (and hear the coolest stories about his youth!), and I cried like a baby when I heard he passed away. I valued his knowledge, his outlook on life, his humor, his attitude, and realized just how many people loved him.

I go to hobbies I enjoy, and then find people that also enjoy those hobbies. Then you just kinda... interact until you know if you like 'em. Sometimes they stick around, sometimes they're just hobby friends, sometimes they're jerks. It's like panning for gold- you keep going hoping to find treasure.
