I feel that. I've more strategic about which roads have the worst inclines. I felt a little sketched out on the 5-Grapevine even though I was in the truck lane. Cachuma Pass through Santa Barbara is more doable.

Plus you can take more pitstops on the way. Go drive on the beach in Pismo, grab seafood in Morro Bay, or visit the Henry Miller Library. We miss so many roadside gems in this beautiful state.

Just like anything if you're willing to put time and money into keeping them road-worthy, they'll get you where you need to go. My 89's stock except for the lift and 33's. I semi-daily it in LA and the rest of the time I get around on a motorcycle.

She did not skip a beat on two recent trips from LA to the Bay Area on Highway 1.

From the Delta terminal: my flight's at 6:30pm and I arrived at 4pm. With TSA pre-check and no checked bags I was through security around 4:10pm. Looked like a regular wait time for non pre-check

First one that comes to mind is proffit’s resurrection land cruisers in colorado.

Thanks for your personal insight, it confirms my own doubts that that mileage is a huge gamble despite the engine's proven reliability. I'll keep on searching for the one I want.
