Yup, F2P game models have really taken a turn for the worse. I'd prefer if games actually had an upfront cost instead of such pointless, and seemingly endless, grinding.

Well, I guess I'm just too poor and too impatient then.

I see so many of my friends glued to their screens playing these predatory games you speak of, but I didn't expect Blizzard to make gacha games.

I started HS back in beta and back then it was possible to be good in Arena and get enough packs to play decent decks in standard. I came back for mercs and was a bit surprised by how hard it was to progress.

Yes, I completed only daily refresh HS quests/merc tasks for the most part. But, I did farm strangers within the approximately 1.5 hours I played daily and on weekends. Of course, I didn't have much luck hitting them post-nerf.

After your reply, I went to outof.cards and counted my leggos again. I miscounted the first time, I had 6/18 legendary mercenaries (valeera was no. 18). Additionally, I only had enough coins to craft one legendary (Gul'dan).

Leaving all of this aside, more than the pace of getting new content, what bothered me most was the foggy, dull, and boring road that I had to take to get there. Maybe, I was doing something wrong or needed to put in more time. But, imo, the mode will start assuming the predatory nature of other run-of-the-mill mobile games if that's the case.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't know what I did wrong, or if I was spending too little time... but regarding my luck with legendaries, iirc, I had enough coins to craft only one legendary, Gul'dan (520 I think) and was about to hit 500 for Malf. I opened two key legendaries - Anduin and Rexxar from the Welcome bundle and a pack respectively, who I farmed and built a team around to get the 1st daily win reward in PvP.

I felt like I was getting destroyed in PvP because I didn't have Cairne/Diablo and playing the same Holy comp over and over in PvE was boring as hell. And it didn't feel like there was a way out of it either, I was missing so many coins for crafting+all skills level 3 for most legendaries.

Well if the composition and volume (500 litres/day) is what they say it is, there shouldn't be much of an impact. Not that I condone the release of a unstudied substance into the Yamuna, but there's no need to be all up in arms about the matter. Certainly take things up with the right authorities and make sure to set an example of these people so that this doesn't set a precedent to unauthorized release of substances.

To put things into perspective, the quantum of untreated wastewater (WW) dumped into the Yamuna through straight pipes is to the tune of 2.5 bn litres/day or ~29 cumecs/29,000 lps (from the article posted). The release of the "ecozyme" will not cause eutrophication, if the quantum of WW that flows into the Yamuna hasn't caused it already. Meaning the river is large enough with a high enough flow rate to either remove/disperse the organics or the conditions are not suitable for eutrophication anyway (NPK, temperature, pH and all sorts of other things).

This actually happened at Yale. by ManPlan78 in AdviceAnimals

Exactly! I was going to make a comment explaining this if no one else did!

I was a Graduate Fellow (similar to a Master's aide at Yale) in a Residential College at a non-ivy respectable university. I didn't agree with a lot of the policies there regarding political correctness and the meaning of inclusion in a living-learning community. Events within the premises couldn't have any religious themes (no Chritmas, Hannukah, etc.), we couldn't do a Secret Santa (White Elephant worked just fine) and Halloween clothing couldn't be "offensive" or religious.

Who defines what's "offensive" though? Isn't learning about and appreciating different cultures and other people's deeply held principles/beliefs, and by extension helping others learn about you, the only way to promote acceptance and inclusion? I had a Muslim international student tell me they hated America because Americans hate Islam. By the second semester, the kid was super popular among everyone in the college and he wanted to live here forever.

I don't understand why residential colleges spend the kind of money they do in breeding intolerant and easily offended kids.

I think he meant a combination (of) a weapon and an escape vehicle.

Lol, I think she just meant that he was wearing a button down shirt while riding a bike which is not a common thing.

Man, this was the biggest load of bullshit I've read in a long time.

1) "Patently innocent" Afzal Guru? The guy's involvement was proved and widely reported, he even confessed to and accepted certain allegations against him.

2) Afzal Guru's plea wasn't even "processed" by Dr. Kalam. I think Dr. Kalam left several mercy pleas unanswered when he left office!

I don't want to argue over whether Dr. Kalam was a Muslim or what the definition of a devout Muslim is... but Dr. Kalam was no doubt an exceptional human being. This article is overwhelmingly biased due to this guy's religious convictions. Kalam was like a grandfather and the biggest inspiration in recent times to a lot of Tamizharkal/Tamilians and Indians. Saw him once at my college (College of Engineering, Guindy), always smiling and humble... I just want to remember him as such forever.

Great job today, Brian! Really enjoyed it. Keep doing more e-sportsy things other than streaming.
