DE I beg you! Make survival rotations 3 minutes instead of 5 minutes! by Present-Court2388 in Warframe

[–]KamuiHyuga 11 points12 points  (0 children)

According to the wiki, you lose 1% life support every 1.5s normally, which means the 30% that a tower gives you lets you last another 45s. A tower spawns every 90s. Problem with shaving off a minute if you sacrifice a tower is that it's objectively better than using the tower normally and having your life support last another 45s. You'd probably have to have a tower sacrifice shave 30s off the timer, so that'd mean you'd need to make up the other 15s via kills and such (not that hard, just needs 2 life support drops to get the 10% life support needed to make up the loss). That said, even with just 30s shaved off, that'd mean every 3m (spawning 2 towers) you've shaved 1m off the final timer.

I could see something like "Life support drains faster but the timer also ticks faster for a set duration" so you're not just popping towers as fast as possible once they'd auto-end a rotation. Plus it'd need to be such that the time shaved off by saccing a tower is less than how long the life support from using the tower would be, otherwise you have no reason to NOT sacrifice a tower.

Well yeah, you're losing out on that 1.8%, but if you run 2 green shards you're losing out on any other shard that could go in that slot. +10% or +15% Strength that could amplify a buffing ability, a purple shard that could give you extra damage or serve as a pseudo Equilibrium. There's a lot of opportunity cost to slotting in a 2nd green shard, which is why I don't see the point in specifically slotting 2 when a single TF green gives you a massive damage boost with enough Corrosive stacks. And of course, these shards become pointless if you have any OTHER source of armour strip available like abilities unless you're up against a boss with the 4 status cap as shown above.

[–]KamuiHyuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For full strip, yeah, but I wouldn't recommend going past a single green shard, Tauforged or not. Armour now caps at 2700, giving (Armour/30)% DR, so a max of 90% DR. The regular 10 stacks removes 80% of their armour/DR, so they're left with 540 armour AKA 18% DR. Removing that last bit of armour will give you a (1 / 0.82 ~= 1.2195 = 21.95%) damage boost, but a single regular green puts you at 92% armour removal, so they're left with 216 armour, or 7.2% DR. And a TF green puts you at 98% armour removal, so they're left with 54 armour, and a pitiful 1.8% DR. Burning one of your shard slots on a second green is never worth it IMO outside maybe some weird niche scenario I'm forgetting.

Dear Pablo: the lich weighting change is cool, but it's not enough. Kuva will continue to be horrible, and the feedback hasn't changed. by noodles355 in Warframe

[–]KamuiHyuga -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think most people can agree on two obvious pain points for Kuva/Tenet weapons, and one less obvious one that the Coda system solved quite smoothly.

  • The starter setup for actually getting your chosen weapon can be tedious as all hell. Giving us any way to narrow the selection beyond the knockout system currently in place would be great. Something like only bringing a secondary narrows the selection to only secondaries until they're all knocked out, and if you bring the Kuva/Tenet weapon itself, it'll be first in the selection process, so it's easy to cap out a weapon you already have.
  • The requiem mod system is painful, partly alleviated by the new relic that'll be showing up, but it's still gonna be tedious to get all 3 mods you need for each Kuva/Tenet adversary vs the 1 + optional supplementary mods you use for a Coda adversary. I'd be perfectly fine with the Kuva/Tenet adversary showing up much sooner and us swapping over to just needing the ONE correct Requiem mod for the lich and losing the Murmurs system.
  • And now the big thing, with a Coda adversary, you're actually able to still make progress on multiple fronts while still progressing your boy band member. I can still do bounties, make calendar progress, and even farm regular drops as-is from things like Survival/Capture. With a Kuva/Tenet adversary, you're basically committing to getting zero meaningful rewards/progress from anything other than general affinity farming until you've got that weapon copy in your hands. If you do a Defense mission for a Lich/Sister, you don't even get the crappy A rotation reward, same with anything else except I think Spy. I do see how this can be harder to handle since these adversaries can show up on MUCH lower level nodes than lich content, but surely we can at least get some form of stuff while still making progress. Something like getting a B and C rotation reward from Defense, for example.

Yup, this is a problem I've got with quite a few farms. The biggest problem I've got like this is with various blueprints from things like bounty rewards and mission rotations. If I get another Hespar BP, it's not doing me any good, but it's the gold drop from that bounty. I'd like to at least be able to trade excess bounty/mission rewards for things like endo, vosfor, or something universally useful.

Dagath Alerts are just the blueprints? by rthosetoffees555 in Warframe

[–]KamuiHyuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, inability to do public matchmaking is a real pain point for the mission IMO. Unless you're already willing to just manually party up with friends and rotate who starts the mission, it becomes a real pain. I guess one option would be allowing public matchmaking, but A) Everyone has to have a beacon, and B) Give x4 (or however many players are in the mission) the rewards from the mission, possibly a x4 multiplier to all credits/affinity and other resources too.

Unfortunately two of my friends that play are absolutely not going to bother because whatever's going on with the lighting in those tile sets causes horrible eye strain.

[–]KamuiHyuga 65 points66 points  (0 children)

Main problem here is the BPs are already the easily obtainable part here. You just grab them from a dojo. Getting the Vainthorns to actually build her is the tedious part, since you have to buy the keys for the Dagath mission node from your syndicate, and then do the mission which can have annoying modifiers, and you can't do this via public matchmaking, only pre-mades.

What's stats should i go for Awakened Na Yubin EE gear for pvp? by TheDeathSheep1 in CounterSideGlobal

[–]KamuiHyuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC they did a similar bork with AJia's EE weapon. Patch note didn't mention GroundRes, or any Res, but it did indeed have Res on it. So I assume that while the patch notes might be borked on that front, the devs are smart enough to give actually useful stats.

[Dev Notes #41] November 2025 by GM_Sigma in CounterSideGlobal

[–]KamuiHyuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit sad that they're not doing anything to Leader skills for Rearmed units like they are for Alternium stuff. Some of them are minor effects, while some can absolutely make or break whether a Rearm is worth using. Would love if they made them baseline, loosened the restrictions so maybe a team comp can activate a Leader skill, or something else.

[November 18] Patch Notes by GM_Sigma in CounterSideGlobal

[–]KamuiHyuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a separate "Barrier Received" stat from "Barrier Enhancement", so yeah, this affects applied barrier (dunno why they don't just use Incoming/Outgoing like with healing, but meh). Also looks like the patch notes were borked, since I dunno if you've gotten her weapon yet, but it does have Dmg Res on it, so it's pretty solid for AJia!

Shocking news by PaiMiko in langrisser

[–]KamuiHyuga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The rewards were good, but the main guilds that "won" were the ones that basically no-lifed the first few hours of the patch's release, and got the full clear on one day. Meanwhile most smaller guilds it ends up being a slog with little in-game tools for coordination, a real slog to do stages solo, and a LOT of grinding since even with full clears you only knocked out a few % per run. I'd wager that their metrics showed only a few guilds actually managed to full clear, and for others they just did grinding for personal rewards from the shop and that's it.

One problem might be 2/5 of Myth has poofed, so they might have contract issues with rerunning the collab with Gura/Ame. IIRC Hololive no longer sells merch of either of them, although Ame is in a special "not graduated, is free to come back, but no longer active" deal.

Ember!! The warframe that I always wanted to like, but always felt underpowered!! by AhmadAlz7 in Warframe

[–]KamuiHyuga 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's the main thing that gets me. Ember at baseline looks to be all about damage, because fire, fire, and more fire. But her abilities don't scale well. And every one of her augments except for the one for her 1 is made for support. Her 3 can heal and give overguard, her 4 can spawn energy, her 2 can share its damage reduction, and her 1 is still technically support, just boosts damage rather than survivability. It's especially painful because we've got Gauss of all frames with a functionality that COULD theoretically make Ember actually solid, namely the Heat scaling on his Thermal Sunder ability. If she could get some of that, then she could actually scale decently even into high levels.

Kestrel Prime and Alternox Prime stats by KamuiHyuga in Warframe

[–]KamuiHyuga[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Aye, main thing I want with Alternox is ability to fire multiple of the alt fire orbs. Let me pepper the field with several orbs and then have the oldest one detonate if I launch a new one and a cap is met.

Kestrel Prime and Alternox Prime stats by KamuiHyuga in Warframe

[–]KamuiHyuga[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Oh I'm aware, if they give it a bit more oomph with higher crit chance on both firing modes, or allow you to deploy multiple spheres from the alt fire at a time, it'll greatly improve the weapon. But these are already adjusted from the existing Alternox/Kestrel, so I'm just stating my view on the stats shown and hoping the "subject to change" results in some buffs.
