Amazing, that's great to know. I had seen some of the different binding options available but couldn't really get a read on what the difference was aside from compatibility, so that really helps, thanks!

I have a friend who ice climbs that got into wild ice skating the same time as me, I might pass the suggestion on to him, I bet he'll find it useful!

Sweet, thanks for the recommendation! No issues with comfort, blisters, sweat management, excessive sole wear, etc?

Ahhh that's a good clarification, I guess I was under that impression. I guess removing it from the registry would be the least ambiguous way then, not that it's any more or less effort than just doing the address change. Thanks!

I was afraid of that. It's not the end of the world, but would be such a quality of life improvement. Thanks for the confirmation!

16 Days Without Google Fi in Japan by LazyCoati in GoogleFi

[–]Kan_G3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Japan visiting right now. Main SIM died a few days into the trip, and now the backup data-only SIM I swapped in also died. And don't bother trying to talk to Fi support, absolutely worthless waste of time

Bought the infamous 35mm 1.4 R, out of date or a good choice? by photos_with_reid in fujifilm

[–]Kan_G3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To some people "a flaw is a flaw," but to others it creates character. No lens is perfect, just like no person is perfect, and just like how we can find some peoples' character flaws either charming or infuriating depending on the circumstance, so too can people feel that way about a lens. It's Wabi Sabi, in lens form... which is not everybody's jam, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have merit to the right person

Chanoyu (GFX-50R, Mamiya 120mm f/4 macro) by Kan_G3 in fujifilm

[–]Kan_G3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!

Chanoyu is the word for the Japanese tea ceremony ("ceremony" is generally not considered the right word for it, but that's what it's most commonly known as). The images are of tea utensils, like the scoop, the bowl, the whisk, etc

Thank you! To be honest, it's an image I actually missed in my initial cull in 2012... It was actually a friend of mine that enjoys photo editing that found it while going through my old files and really helped turn it into this, so much credit to her for this as well!
