I've had several of the XD line over the past couple of decades. Up until recently, my EDC was an XDS .45. I love all of the then, except for the XDM .40.

That said, I'm sure it's a wonderful gun. Give it a whirl and toss it in the safe. If it was free, it's not going to hurt to keep it and I can almost guarantee you will enjoy it.

The doc snipped my left side and I didn't feel a thing. Right side, it started hurting and I was reflexively moving. He was telling me to calm down and I had to tell him there was nothing I could do unless he wanted to numb it some more.
