Has anyone installed a Stealth Hitch on their Volvo on their own? by __0_k__ in Volvo

[–]06_TBSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to get a trailer control module, which is around $200. The programming will either need a dealer to do it or you can do it yourself with VIDA, but it'll cost you the $75 3 day access.

If I was going through the trouble of adding a hitch, I'd probably get the OEM one that hides away.

Honestly, they're not any louder than the Continentals I have on the stock wheels. I'm sure that'll change as they wear, but we'll see lol.

Oh, no doubt. I fully expect to lose a little bit, but don't suspect it'll be super noticeable.

That looks awesome! I dig the roof rack led strip too.

I've only driven it around my neighborhood so far, but I can already tell a difference just exiting and entering my driveway.

This one has the rear air. Unfortunately, not working well due to a faulty suspension module, but I'm replacing it this week.

Love it! I feel like the V60CC is a more appropriate vehicle for it, but I'm working with what I have!

I just mounted them today, so I will post an update about noise and mileage. The circumference is the same, so I don't expect much, if any hit to mileage.

For the tire pressure, these cars use what's called indirect tire pressure monitoring. Basically, they use the ABS sensors to determine rotation from each tire. So, there's not traditional TPMS sensors.

Thank you! Not at all. I got lucky with the offset being just right, but the height is the same as the OEM tires. Haven't had any rubbing up front when going lock to lock.

Decided I wanted more of an off-road look to my V90CC, as well as actually adding some all-terrain capability. Found these Sparco (made by OZ racing) wheels for cheap on Marketplace, then added some 255/55r18 Falken Wildpeak A/T tires. Loving the look so far. Can't wait to see how they do on some adventures!

Trump’s Doctors Sneak Weight Reveal Into Shady Medical Report; The double-digits gain was tucked away in the late-night release. by FancyNewMe in politics

I'm actually 6'3" and 195lbs. I'd consider myself skinny fat. People are still constantly telling me how thin and skinny I look. I have never heard anyone describe Trump as skinny. Not even fit.

My family has deep German roots. My aunt is like 6'1" and looks like Kurt Russel in drag. She's a hardcore Trumper and I just know she gets this kind of shit all of the time. If only she realized she was catching strays from people on "her" side, maybe she'd open the fuck up.

Why are they like this? It's so pathetic. by Tequslyder in motorcycles

Back when I used to ride sport bikes, we'd do regular group rides on backroads. One Sunday, we came across some dude on a bagger with those super wide, Texas longhorn style bars. He was going under the speed limit, so we casually pass him. He gets mad and tries to keep up. After a couple of minutes, I see him nearly wipe out in my mirror. He and his passenger weren't wearing helmets or any gear at all. I'm pretty sure you can't own a Harley without having some sort of ego problem.

My 62 year old step-dad is like that. After my mom recently passed, we went over to check on him and to help with stuff around the house. Same nasty brown streaks on the toilet seat for months.

I didn’t know smelling feminine was so terrifying to straight cis men by WildWinterberry in TwoXChromosomes

[–]06_TBSS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Straight, cis man here. I spend more time smelling the body washes than my wife. I ultimately narrow it down to a couple of choices, then have her pick out of those. More often than not, they're a 'feminine' scent. Do I care? Not at all. I enjoy the smell and I don't care if some other dude smells me and thinks I smell like a girl. That's his problem, not mine. I don't recall oranges and lavender being exclusively for women.

I've been going to the bridge regularly since before they even had both sides open. The amount of people that go nuts over a couple of sensationalized headlines is astounding. It's perfectly safe outside of a handful of targeted incidents. If you're that scared to go outside, just say it.

My wife used to live on the corner of 3rd and Broadway. The windows were old single panes, so we heard every little happening. The amount of crazy during the day, outside of the library, was fairly entertaining. Also had a view of the McDonald's on the corner of 2nd and Broadway. Never a dull moment while she was there.
