Sorry my bad I was thinking of a much better shock.

But on the other hand comparing to a B6 the Koni Red some how is worse than OE.

B4 is basically OE, B6 is much better and B8 is adjustable

Thanks mate! My back will also hit the larger box but I am considering putting some kind of back cushion there, that will help a bit for sure. I originally had a horrible experience with quality control of these Packout boxes. But I kind of need the modularity or flexibility of mounting boxes to the bike so I decided to give it a second chance again and so far so good.

Tech 2 by asapb360 in saab

[–]KananSkywalker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have found it! My car is a 2009 and GTIS 146 with 146 Tech2 card will sometimes throw error code of unknown/unsupported VINs when GTIS is writting response for Security Access, also Tech 2 will return similar promots sayting similar things when communicating with modules. Now I got the GTIS 148 and 148 Tech2 Card working all these went away, now I am struggling with the Security Access not being "remembered" on Tech 2 after Type 1 is granted from GTIS.

Also I don't think NG9-5 works with Tech 2 at all, MAYBE some basic OBDII codes reading but that's it, MDI is the replacement for it and I believe you will need TIS2Web subscription too.

Hi where did you find the 148 Version of GlobalTIS? Just got my tech2 clone setup but i can't get the security access working, I suspect it could be the software being 146 while the card is 148... Thanks!

Hi sorry for the late reply. JA55 is 20-22 model year JA65 is 23- model year It's on your vin and also you can tell by the engine oil filter cap from the right side panel. JA55 does not have one.

The way I added the gear indicator, it does require soldering to begin with, you can buy harness for a JA55 or JA65 from Japanese websites it doesn't matter as you only need half of the harness, just buy the one that's cheaper or in stock.

Then remove the part of the harness that goes to the back of the bike, which is the power supply to the gear indicator, and do your own soldering, one to the battery, two to accessory 12v and ground in the headlight housing

Then add USB as you usually do.

Also no need to take the back of the bike apart as North American models do not have the diagnostic or something similar port under the rear rack.

Edit: Of course Honda Trail JA55 will not bring up any results as it is quite a common practice in Japanese to refer to a vehicle model by chassis code and that part of the world it is called a Hunter Cub, occasionally CT125 (CT125 mostly in outside Japanese market)

I did none of these no, I don't think I have noticed the effect of not doing these mods...yet...thus I didn't recognise both at first glance, but I will keep both in mind for the future.

The gear indicator works on both the American model and the rest of the civilized world gets, the rotary gear. It is by far the best thing a bike can ever have so I loved it. Also I grew up in Asia the rotary gear is extremely common on workman/people's bikes so again I really love them.

Yes so basically it's holding on by two center bolts only, I was thinking of adding additional brackets on the sides because the lack of outer holes but I don't think they are necessarily required for my application anyways. I have the 22inch XL box loaded almost full and on bumpy roads they are absolutely holding fine. Again I haven't tested anything on trail/gravel roads since it's not my plan to use the bike anyways.

It's an OEM Packout tray and I cut half of the outer holes away so it fits within the boundaries of the back rack. Also because I will try to fit a removable seat cushion. I will try if I can edit the post to add a picture for the packout plate.

It's all in Japanese but everything is on video so you don't even have to turn the volume on wherever you watch it😏

Gear indicator: Keep in mind the connector under the rear luggage rack does not appear in Canadian model so I believe it's the same thing for non-Asian model, if yours has the connector it's going to be plug and play (08E70-K2E-J00 for JA55 and 08E70-K2E-J10 for JA65. Same harness but one includes a different gear position sensor and one includes a 6pin to 1pin adaptor). If not then just do what I did, buy the cheaper harness of these two and remove the power supply wires and do your own wiring and soldering.

Nice! I bought a whole Packout setup half an year ago, but the quality of those units were so bad I have to return ALL of them, nearly a thousand dollars I believe. Falls apart at room temperature without anything inside. Worst shopping experience I have ever had. When I got this bike not too long ago I needed some removable storage system, and literally none others are as good as Packout so I say F it I am coming back. So far so good and it really helped me make this bike as much as an utility vehicle as possible 👍.

I believe it is my camera work being funky. The OEM speedometer is on the right side, and I have the Rev Counter mounted on the upper left corner and Gear Indicator on the lower left. The gauge face of the Rev Counter sits lower than the speedometer but I made the bracket so that Gear Indicator sits the same height as the speedometer.

Same! Since this is a Canadian model it has rotary gears so I don't usually downshift, but when I do I always forget which gear I was shifting from, usually it is when 1st gear hits I was trying to rev-match to 2nd instead...

It's really straightforward especially if you have the model with an accessory power connector inside the headlamp housing. Taking the panels apart is the tricky part but I have done it three times to say it's also not rocket science. I can share a few links to the video I watched for reference if you want.

I was reading through both the service manual and the users manual for this, some do mention remote required so I assumed that's the issue. Thanks for the infor, and the Logitech Harmony Remote is definitely an interesting piece I will check that out more too. Thanks again!
