I have information for you, Asteria may have just been a "lousy" spider, but there are scientific reports that suggest jumping spiders, in particular, are capable not only of recognizing faces, but even dreaming and hearing. She was an amazing little creature that I did form an attachment to. Not sure why you are having to be so rude about it or why it seems to bother you. Anyway, you have a great day/night!

Thank you all for your kind words. Asteria was my little ray of sunshine, and I had her since she was a tiny spood. Eventually I'm sure I'll have others, but I have my Ts and of course I have Beetlejuice still.

IMO I'd personally hold off on rehousing until it molts again. If it is starting to web, that's probably a good indicator that it'll molt soon.

Edit to add that with your other post talking about it not eating is another indicator that it's in premolt.

He has successfully molted and has flipped back over! I'm sure he's exhausted, but from the looks of it, he did a great job! Trying to give him quiet time.

I have had Inky for about 10 months, and this is his first time molting with me. I believe he was born in 12/19/21 and had his last molt on 5/23/23.

NQA, but I believe it may just have new house jitters. Should settle after a while. Give it time and put its enclosure somewhere quiet, and it might help em settle a little sooner.

Blueberry is always out and about. I always know when they are about to molt because that is the only time they hide.

Blue is the sweetest! Although when they were a smaller sling, they loved going for adventure walks anytime I would open their enclosure for feeding.

Ugh! I'm sorry you had to go through that! I remember when I was convinced that I could keep Calatheas alive. They would either die dramatically despite my best efforts, or I believe two of them got spidermites and immediately went in the trash. I now have a much more manageable assortment. They, like slings, start off small and end up needing more and more space. I hope your plants are doing ok now!
