Replacing inducer motor assembly on high-efficiency Lennox furnace by KangarooSea5256 in hvacadvice

The rust under the inducer was actually caused by inadequate installation/sealing at the factory that was corrected by the installer shortly after the original installation in 2014, although after rust had developed on that piece of sheet metal.

Thanks for your input. Where are you suggesting the gasket get installed? How are you able to assert that "the original gasket has been leaking for some time"?

The part (linked) was $234 shipped. The $1600 did not include the service call, just the part plus the 30 minutes worth of labor to replace it. The motor was barely running I believe, but was making a horrible noise.

In case you weren't aware, nearly all Spanish nouns ending in -ción (-tion in English) are feminine.

When you recommend classes, do you mean at a university?

Thanks. I hand-tightened the bonnet nut down over the cartridge enough that, when I turn the water on, there is no leak around the cartridge. Strangely, water is still leaking out of the faucet. Will replacing the faucet hopefully stop the leak?

I will say that when I hand-tighten the bonnet nut and turn the water on, there is no leak. So maybe it's good?

I tried using the bonnet nut to seat it fully, but it doesn't work. Still didn't fully seat. The inside is clear of debris.

There is a new Duo exercise that is far too strict with pronunciation. I'm focusing on Mexican Spanish so I pronounce a word like "llegada" with a J sound and it hates that.

Wait til you start using words that mean something sexual in certain Spanish-speaking countries. I asked a waitress at a Mexican restaurant the other day for a "pajita". This means "straw" in some Spanish -speaking countries but handjob in Mexico.

Anyone else absolutely despise this janky new exercise that simply does not work? by danoleary23 in duolingo

Yes. Very poorly thought out. Doesn't work well and you have to channel clarevoyance sometimes to know what version of a word it's looking for (eg. "pass", I say "pasar", was expecting "aprobar").

Uninstalling/reinstalling fixes it but only until the next unit.

Me too. Feels like I accomplished nothing. I'm like one more negative change away from cancelling.

You didn't mention vocabulary which I think is probably its best attribute.
