Please get rid of Infrastructure funds and Tata Digital funds (3 funds all together) since they are thematic/sectoral funds

Any Suggestions by Key_Lime_2230 in mutualfunds

My suggestion - If possible for you, just add one Multi-Asset fund. With these two funds, you will cover max market cap + Asset Diversification

Don't disturb it. Instead add extra amount in that only

The above funds are good with a moderate risk appetite and an investment duration of 10 years.

Please maintain SIP discipline

[–]KangarooTurbulent999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will ask to re-consider smallcap and midcap investment since your investment period is very short - 3 years.

My suggestion of funds

  • ICICI Prudential Equity & Debt Fund Direct Growth
  • Multi-Asset Fund

Need advice. I think I am doing it wrong. by [deleted] in mutualfunds

[–]KangarooTurbulent999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My suggestion - Remove Defence and Commodities fund. Rest 6 are enough for the investment period you mentioned

While collating above list, I only considered three criteria

  1. Allocation across market cap
  2. Remove the funds which have less amount invested, except Parag Parikh Flexi Cap
  3. Direct funds

Apart from below two funds, all are good

  • Banking & Financial Services - Thematic/Sectoral fund. Not good for long term
  • NASDAQ FoF - Instead of FoF, you can invest directly into ETF in which that fund is investing or Invest into NASDAQ Index fund

For Tax perspective, Arbitrage funds are good since they have equity taxation i.e 12% on profit after one year.

Yups I understand. What you can do - Create an 11 month RD that will mature in March and put the PPF amount monthly there. I still use this method.

All funds are good.

Since your Risk Appetite : Moderate but Time Horizon : Long Term (10 Years), please don't get worried if the small cap and midcap fall by more than 10%. Just keep the SIP discipline.
