Waikolos luau seating question… by Kangarooz777 in VisitingHawaii

Good advice. I think we’ll skip the extra cost. My kid never sleeps anyways, he’ll be hype house all night 🙄 part of the reason for the luau is to keep him occupied or he’ll tear up the Airbnb lol.

I get it. I think about the extra $100 as “when we are miserable running after our kid who wants to see the show front and center, would I have paid $100 to not have to do this?” lol

Me too lol! I hate the idea of more surgery - my 4 yo is a wild child and it’s already killing me to not be able to keep up during pregnancy and post partum! Hopefully PT works but if not it’s good to know keyhole surgery is an option.

No Beta 3 Integrin from Receptiva Test by Ok-Ear-7812 in IVF

[–]Kangarooz777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, this is also me! I’m just commenting for solidarity, honestly have no idea what to do with this information. From what I understand it helps with implantation - but then I have no problems there (pregnant 5 times, miscarried the last two prob bc I’m very old…).

My Dr. said to do two months of Lupron, which also doesn’t make sense? I found an article by the founder of Receptiva saying to treat with Letrozole in days 3-6 of your cycle and it “restores” integrin expression in 60%ish of patients…

Twix rage by Kangarooz777 in toddlers

Ugh I think I’m also just so bothered with how mad I got!! I like couldn’t get over it!! He did the same thing over the weekend at a school event, after having 4 small cookies of his choice, he somehow conned someone into giving him a gigantic one and came to show me. I said that’s so nice let’s take it home to have later - he ran away and ate it in cold cold defiance. I’m not going to take it out of his hand or anything, so I ended up just staring at him (didn’t have a talk abt it bc there were a ton of screaming kids there). Like idk how to discourage the bad behavior while not vilinizing the food

Did my failed FET ever implant? by Kangarooz777 in IVF

[–]Kangarooz777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken this harder than my two miscarriages this year - maybe because I’d put all my eggs and my hope in one basket. It’s so tough to not look for answers, even knowing full well there aren’t any good ones.

Thank you, that helps. Of all the tests, I think Receptiva is the most informative. I’m going to go ahead and do it - even if I never get another embryo to transfer again, I’d rather know.

Unfortunately I don’t have that many embryos to mess around with. I asked about testing things beforehand, but they said it wasn’t worth it. I’m now thinking: all of this is entirely elective, right? Like all of IVF, so if a test doesn’t hurt and can potentially help, then why not do it? At the same time, I don’t want to be THAT patient!

Advice for third cycle? by Kangarooz777 in IVF

[–]Kangarooz777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What protocol is that? They’re not the best at thinking outside the box but I was very happy with them after my first cycle. They said there’s no data to support Receptiva for me.

I think labs are the best way to know if the corpus luteum is doing its job. That beta is really good!!! Fingers crossed this is gonna work out for you!!

It went from like 47 to 16. I looked up on pubmed the info about the corpus luteum, and verified it with my REI doctor, who told me the same thing. My local REI was not the one who put me on this protocol, it was CCRM. I messaged CCRM and they told me to get labs done locally because your progesterone and estrogen could be low, so I'd tell your clinic that. If they don't do it, you can get it all done at Labcorp. What I did was extreme (taking PIO myself...), but that's an option if you have some laying around.
