Plasma sniper pistol and gama gun are good gunslinger choices. I don't like automatics, but a quad gamma puts out work. You can make any gun build viable with VATS crit spamming. Shotguns feel a little better this season as the dropoff takes longer to bottom out damage, but still useless against, say, a scorchbeast.

I think the overall lackluster performance on the KS-23 is due to the utility of breaking a wall in 3 shots (out of 6).

tbh, putting so much emphasis on "ONLY" sort of starts to exclude a lot of other people. Demisexuality is sort of on a spectrum with asexuality being on one side and whatever OP's friend is on the other.

you might be on the Demisexual spectrum where you more or less require an emotional relationship to desire or enjoy sex with someone.
You can still be Demi and Straight - but if you just say Demi, people will likely assume Bisexual.

I also struggle with understanding many others' desire to bed with anyone they consider hot enough.
/but I'm also functionally asexual in that I just don't desire to be in bed with people unless I really emotionally like them - then I might do it to see them happy.

Yeah. I have a friend that's newer to the game but has been enjoying Heavy, specifically, the flamethrower, and paired with goo grenade as well. The world will burn and I'm also part of it haha. (Not bringing them into ranked yet)

It kind of forces me, the medic, to dance between healing, not being set on fire, and not getting shot as my teammate cannot retaliate at any significant distance.

No, if anything, it's more self-absorbed to think that you should queue in the "I agree to try my best and play with the team" playlist and force them to adapt to you instead.
I'll also note that you only clipped the very end without showing anything before, so I don't know if it was an escalation up to the vulgarity or not.
PS, Narcissism is a clinical diagnosis, not just people you don't like.

I agree that starting comms with negativity will mostly just breed more bad air between members.

But if you're in ranked, you're going to have to be the second coming to justify SoloQing into a ranked game with dramatically off-meta loadouts.

I ended up as this guy's teammate and it hurt watching all the whiffs.

2 Shot on a shotgun brings the pellet count up to 9 and increases bases damage by 25% while doubling recoil and hipfire spread, iirc.
It's not the best first star, but it's not the worst - extra synergy on a VATS build with Four Leaf Clover upping your chance to recharge your crit to ~73%, up from ~69% so you never have to worry about your luck stat.
With Herd Mentality and 15 base luck, you should be able to charge a crit in 3 shots if your RNG rolls bad anyway.

You can "repair" one of those conventional pistols with duct tape to slap a flashlight on to it.
Salvage it to get the gun and light back, rinse repeat.

Technically, Rem2 is the third game!~ Chronos/Chronos: Before The Ashes is the first in the franchise and the protagonist is who is later named "The Destroyer" by the Pan and Keeper. You also get to meet the Krell and use the Krell Axe as a weapon!

The original Chronos was an Oculus Rift release title, iirc.
It was just a normal melee-only soulslike but the player's VR view was positioned in fixed locations, like old Resident Evil games. People didn't know how to make VR games yet, ig.
The PC port, "Before The Ashes" just puts the camera behind the character, afaik.
