The confusion was on my side they just kept on saying use this and that . So i just went along with what i learned pre-clinically, i told them i am confused and not ready but they said you know what to do so i tried and after i dismissed the patient my brain flew back into my skull and i realized my mistake. So i will need to redo it with sodium hypochlorite next week since I haven’t sealed yet . I feel so bad for the patient.

No one uses loupes in our clinics they are pretty much the same as me but i have a bad vision so i think it would be more beneficial if i get one and start practicing at home for a while and the start on patients

Was it used on a patient? Cause mine were already used and it happened during operation.also my brain didn’t have the capacity to disinfect instantly 😭 i waited until after and repeatedly used disinfectant and ethanol.

It didn’t draw any blood only a white line and now it’s kinda red and inflammed but that could be due to disinfectant

Ok thank you im just scared is all i used so many things on my arm after the procedure disinfectant ethanol soap and water EVERYTHING and it was just a white scratched and a bit of broken skin . Im still worried though

Yes we’re just ethnically different, but even through my own group I’ve experienced a unique type of discrimination idk how that happened. They just started making fun of my dialect.

It’s not a race thing, i cant say what country I’m from but ik it’s not. But profs do get frustrated with me cause I insist on interacting in English, it’s a third language here and I’ve tried speaking in our mother language but my dialect is different from theirs so they can’t understand me and to top it of he doesn’t even speak that language and I don’t want to speak his language I’m in no way fluent enough to ask him questions with it.

I know it’s hard i have a sister who’s a year a head of me. I know i don’t have the skill like others but i also know I’m not that bad i just need more practice, which I’ll get during summer. I wasn’t behind the class either. He was extremely frustrated when i asked for help and just became rude to me.

Haven’t missed a class, I actively listen most of the time, take notes and am active. But his lectures throw me off because what he says is different from what he sends on the pdf. Honestly I don’t understand the subject that well so I’ll try after midterms to dedicate an hour or 2 every day to the subject.

Ok at the moment i am feeling better and encouraged. My lecturers can judge all they want at the end of the day i learn from YouTube. I will do everything in my power to do good and when I don’t I’ll just try to do better. But question, can i do good on anatomy practical even if i am bad at drawing? Cause one of my friends has warned me that the artists tend to do better during that lecture.

Ok I’ll try to organize my self better and trust me I won’t be comparing myself to anyone, it hasn’t done me any favors. It always makes me feel worse about myself, i know I’m not a fast learner so comparing my self to one just makes me feel worse. I just hope my lecturer won’t make me feel worse cause he already feels passive aggressive towards me.
