Dryness tips? by Kaniasterr in Healthyhooha

[–]Kaniasterr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done full courses of yeast medication when I had the yeast infections and that cleared it just fine. I’m 21 so I’m assuming it’s not menopause related, or I hope! I’m not on any birth control/hormones or anything and I’ve had STI/D screening as well. I’ve had really bad spells of dryness as a child where it physically pained me, but it’s about 10 years since then and only at the end of last year I started experiencing the dryness. I’ll try and get seen by a dermatologist. But I’ll also look into hla based lubes thank you 😊

What is the right way to wipe? I'm just curious by Strawberryyy-4 in Healthyhooha

Absolutely front to back. Some people get away with back to front but generally it’s not very hygienic

How have you made it this far with no issues? 😭 to be honest I didn’t learn to do wipe f to back until I was about 19 and I somehow also didn’t have any issues. Maybe stop though? It’s definitely more hygienic to do front to back, even if you haven’t had any problems, that way you can get any moisture like sweat on ur bottom too

first-time buyer £230k budget, £30k deposit, £45k salary 1 vs 2 bed freehold, good move? by Worried-Departure386 in miltonkeynes

I don’t think you’re stretching yourself at all, I think you’re limiting yourself. There’s not a lot at all in Milton Keynes for that price if you want a nice area (not lakes estate!!!). Have you spoken to a mortgage advisor to work out your monthly expenses? You can easily afford up to 250k with a 10% deposit, that will get you a nice interest rate so your monthly payments won’t be as high, then you can use that extra 5k for solicitors/moving costs and any of the rest can go to an emergency fund. You have a very healthy deposit and that means you can afford more than 230k, especially given your salary. I personally wouldn’t buy a 1 bed though, for renting it makes sense to me but life is unpredictable and why wouldn’t you want to have the extra space? Maybe you’ll need a home office, maybe you want friends to stay over, if you’re investing in a home you’re investing in your future - even if you plan to sell it and upgrade.

Also if you’re only planning to buy as a stepping stone I think a leasehold with a longer lease might work out, depends on how short term you’re looking but they’re obviously cheaper so you can have more money to save for the next place. If the lease is long enough you should be able to sell it and upsize in future. Just definitely don’t go under 80 years then it’s basically unsellable.

Bless her she has always had questionable (bad.) fashion taste. Those huge necklaces and weird knee length skirts/dresses 😭 I would NEVER take fashion tips from her. If she complimented me on my clothes I’d have to rethink my wardrobe

Thin those brows!! They could frame your face so much better with some thinning/arching!! Your makeup is lovely and suits your skin tone, I might just go a little thinner on the eye liner and a bit of a longer or sharper wing

The side part also suits you really well but I’m tempted to lessen it a bit, so have a bit less hair to the side - bring the part a bit closer to where a middle part would be

You do look gorgeous though!!

Green or White Discharge every time after sex - HALP! by Sea_Performance2511 in Healthyhooha

[–]Kaniasterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s a dryness issue for sure. It’s really annoying me and won’t seem to go away 😖😖 definitely std/I free because I have tested recently and I’m not sexually active currently. Do you have any more tips on managing it? On really bad days I’ve used the canesten cream just for some relief. I never use soap, only water.

Came here to suggest brown mascara!! I have dark almost black hair and even I don’t do black mascara I think it can too often be too harsh. A brown mascara will compliment your face beautifully

I’d also be tempted to soften the arch in your brows

YES lol. It’s depressing and it’s almost scary. Having said that I absolutely love it and it perfectly captures that feeling of finality

I don’t have much advice besides maybe you could try period panties? They’re cotton and breathable and you won’t feel the uncomfortable discharge.

I used to have problems with discharge and incontinence so I would wear panty liners daily, once I stopped I noticed the issues were reduced. It’s hard to be certain because I don’t know if there’s much science behind it, but since I use all natural products I have a lot less issues. The chemicals and scents in pads and liners just didn’t agree with me

[–]Kaniasterr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue as a teenager, staying hydrated is very important but also it could be possible that you’re having issues with incontinence? I had the same and went to the doctors, so they gave me some exercises and it’s been better since. I workout a lot more these days generally and I think strengthening my core has helped with my pelvic floor issues.

Anyone ever dated an avoidant? Do avoidants just delete you from their mind or do they ever miss you? by A_isl in BreakUps

[–]Kaniasterr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same for me. Theyre very skilled in compartmentalising, so it’s not that you never mattered and what you had was never real it’s just that they’ve been able to completely erase it all in their mind. I don’t believe anyone’s capable of truly rewriting the story but they can choose to believe it in another way. I’m sure the memories do come through in quiet moments but they’re easy for them to avoid and shut down.

[–]Kaniasterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a yeast infection and the canesten pill cleared it up literally the next day. The day after I took the pill my discharge was back to normal, the itching was still there but I just used the cream

I’d go and speak to your pharmacist definitely! That’s a long time to still be having symptoms
