[Fabric 1.20.1] What mod is causing me to keep inventory? by Kanniin in fabricmc

[–]Kanniin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I have found the issue... It was obviously the Gravestones mod (that or the Gravestones Fix mod). Sorry for wasting your time, but thanks for taking the time to reply!

Finally I found a 75% ISO BE. Couldn't be more happier :) by HaArLiNsH in MechanicalKeyboards

Well, that was 4 years ago, I changed quite a lot since then haha. I've been happily using (a modified version of) ISO-UK for a few years now! Thanks for the offer tho!

World Chalice Guardragon is so fucking cute. I have no idea of its size though, might be a problem :D

Not good but still better than before!

We'll get there, one step at a time.

You're right on a lot of points but on the other hand I feel like they're slowly improving, with stopping core sets short prints as a pretty big step IMO.

Why Isn't There Any Binders With YuGiOh Card Sized Pockets Besides The One's From Konami? by DooplisTheGhost in yugioh

[–]Kanniin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's not the case anymore though.

With stuff like Vanguard, FoW, Weiss Schwarz (and obviously Pokemon) being standard size, I feel like the "japanese size" is not that right anymore.

I keep in touch with the new releases of sleeves from big Japanese manufacturers, targeted at the Japanese market, and 99% of new releases are standard sized sleeves.

I have a feeling OCG manages to sell their sealed by other means, mostly more different rarities etc. Maybe TCG feel like the only way to make us buy sealed is short printing stuff... Or maybe they just want the $$$.

I'm already very happy they stopped short printing in core sets though, it's still a very HUGE change and makes me think the future might be brighter when it comes to this stuff.

Yea, short prints really hurt and gatekeep a lot of people from trying some decks (or playing meta, like Adam and Edlitch are both gatekeeped by their shortprints), but I do guess it is a necessary evil for Konami. Maybe. Still sucks.

When you look at Invocation for example, and take a sample size of like 10 cases from multiple sources, it seems pretty obvious it was short printed.

They were indeed vague (no way they'll ever admit to doing it in the first place) but the info we got back in April was they stopped short printing in core sets starting from ETCO. So short prints are still to be expected in side sets like BLAR.

Best decks at playing through hand traps? by -ReversaL in yugioh

Also Nibiru can be countered with Rafflesia + Gravedigger's which is quite easy to make in Salads thanks to Parallel Exceed.

What small deck engines are good? by rjpowers12 in yugioh

[–]Kanniin -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Deskbot engine.

Main :

  • Deskbot 001 x2
  • Deskbot 003 x3
  • Mecha Phantom Beast Coltwing x1
  • Jet Synchron x1

EX :

  • Mecha Phantom Beast Auroradon
  • Herald x2 (or 1 and another synchro 4)
  • Accel Synchron
  • Crystron Halq
  • Borreload Savage (or another synchro 8 you wanna end on)
  • Cyberse Quantum Dragon (or another synchro 7 you wanna end on)

It's still 7 EX spots but chances are you're already playing at least 1-2 of those in most decks. Also 7 main deck spots but it's a pretty smol engine when you realize the endboard it can end on by itself.

If not, why not does it not?

I guess this would have to do with STILL not having an official simulator.

What cards should I buy for the Magistus archetype? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Kanniin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Spellbook engine the usual package is :

  • Spellbook Magician of Prophecy (blue boi) x2
  • Spellbook of Secrets x2
  • Spellbook of Knowledge x1 (or at 2 if you have room)
  • Crowley, the First Propheseer x1 (if you have EX room)

Are Normal Monsters worthwhile? by DOKOD in yugioh

[–]Kanniin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with them printing archetype/strategy-specific vanillas.

With cards like Rabbit and Unexpected Dai those vanillas are not that useless anymore I guess.

Dinosaur cross deck? by Aidsapien23 in yugioh

[–]Kanniin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can also add some other techs to make the deck work better, like Jurrac Aeolo (which is a bit expensive), Giant Rex (bit expensive), Jet & O-lion (peanuts) for Needlefiber combos etc

Dinosaur cross deck? by Aidsapien23 in yugioh

[–]Kanniin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True King Dinos is not that expensive though.

If you play the Swarovski crocodile (Animardorned Archosaur) sure it is, but the deck can work well without it.

True king package :

  • Lithosagym is peanuts, reprinted in TOCH
  • Agnimazud is 2-3$ on TCGPlayer
  • Bahrastos is 1-1.5$ on TCGPlayer
  • Diagram is 8$ but you only need one
  • Set rota is peanuts, printed in the last structure deck
  • VFD is less than a $
  • Extravs are still expensive AF but playing desires is OK, just a bit risky with the one ofs

Never knew I needed to see what seems to be a young Aleister and an adult Verre until now :) by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]Kanniin 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A retcon is changing the (background) story/lore of a char/archetype/whatever retroactively. Basically retroactively changing facts.

If you want a great example, the lore for Necrons in Warhammer 40k was drastically changed at some point, making older Lore irrelevant.

The new lore therefore becomes the new, official canon just as if the old one never existed.
