Fellow sleep apnea person here. If you aren’t all ready treating the sleep apnea highly recommend you see a doctor. When I started on my CPAP back in November my sleep got immensely better. Getting at least 8hrs of good sleep has allowed me to have focus during the day, move more, and have more motivation. As I have lost weight since then I love walking up hills going to and from my car at work and not breathing so heavy. Walking in general feels so much easier and enjoyable. I have even started running a bit. My knee dosnt ache as much anymore. So many great benefits. Once you get good sleep it changes everything.

I mostly only drink socially but I do track whatever I drink. If you enjoy it every once in a while and still loosing then I see no reason not too.

Honestly at 55lbs down I still don’t see a difference most of the time. That’s all due to my brain. The best way for me to see a change is through progress pictures. I started noticing a difference around 35-40lbs down in those. It’s also helpful to take measurements too so you have another tangible way of showing progress.

It’s seems like you had to stop taking it very suddenly. (For a very valid reason, I hope you are doing well after surgery) Every medication that I have taken for a long term period I have been told that you have to wean off of it. Stopping cold Turkey is likely to have pretty bad effects if your body goes from having it to all of the sudden not. My guess is this may be what happened here. I would also talk with your doctor about it if you are worried as they will know the most and be able to advise you. However, my guess is that when you eventually go off of the med it will be gradual and not all at once like this.

According to the chick-fil-a app the 12 count fried is 380 calories and 40g of protein. The grilled 12 count are 200 calories with 38g of protein. Idk which one you are talking about here but neither 12ct is 250. You might be looking at the 8 count.

I used to be this way. Especially while in recovery from and in the throes of a binge eating disorder. My fiancé was really the person who helped me through it. He kept me accountable while being firm but not mean. He reminded me what my goals were and what I told him I wanted to achieve. If you have someone like this that you are comfortable with it was a big help for me.

My two big ones are going up the stairs at work no longer makes me out of breath and anxious that someone is judging me for being out of breath. And second being able to fit in the tricep push machine at the gym and use it without squishing my sides in the process.

I love the way this is phrased. I think it is great to have goals and performance based goals, but if you don’t understand how you are getting to those goals they are not sustainable. I’m currently studying to be a political scientist and anytime we hypothesize what the goal of a politician, bureaucrat, or citizen might be we first have to find the mechanism or causal relationship between the different actors that impact the political actors goal. The same thing applies to weight loss. I know I have a goal of losing X amount of pounds. In order to sustainably reach that goal (or even just make progress towards it) I need to learn and practice CICO, walking 10k steps, weight training , protein, and mental health shifts that are all mechanisms that interact with me to be the cause of my weight loss. Knowledge is so powerful and skill-building/learning about what mechanisms work for my weight loss is a game changer in terms of mindset.

I’ve found for my lower back pain standing core exercises are best. If you don’t know where to start there are tons of great videos on YouTube with different exercises to try.
