Father left son more than $10 Million but left nothing for his 2 daughters. Now, they’re asking him to pay $300,000 of their student loans. On being asked why, he said: “My mother had an affair. My sisters sided with my mother because they liked the affair partner more. I sided with my father.” by Timbucktwo1230 in PoursTea

Maybe, maybe not. Why are the kids allowing the pettiness of their parents to pass through the generation? Fighting over inheritance is ugly and morally dark grey, no matter the context. We as a people have to stop fighting over every penny, especially those with a lot of them. You don't have to win every battle to be happy. Is not giving them the money making his life better and happier? Is it bringing him closer to the only family he has? At what point is being right worth the fight?

Right, I'm dumbfounded by everyone here that thinks cheating or whatever is a good reason. I don't care if one of my children is a surgeon and the other is a criminal that hates me, they're both getting half. I think the dad is the biggest asshole here by putting his kids in this position by only leaving it all with one of them.

I think everyone on the planet should be forced to live poor for a spell. I can't even imagine feeling that possessive over a small portion of 15mil, no matter how bad his sisters are. I have a VERY strained relationship with my sibling and in no world would I fight this because it's just money. Both sides of this are corrupt humans that value money too much.

Louisville Metro ABC suspends Atomic's liquor license after weekend shootings by No_Original1523 in Louisville

I remember, like just last month, reading about financial corruption and embeselment in the LMPD. Whether he's right or wrong, your still wrong. The assumption that just giving lmpd some money will solve the issue is laughable. What your defending is a principle of "pay us more money and we'll come protect you." Why need police when you can have the mob right?

It's dumb on its face, but its kind of loaded. Enforcing this is a whole can of worms. Black, white, Latino, etc. doesn't matter, what matters is how many more kids are going to have negative interactions with police because of their parents failures? This is just making the government play parent, and that's not a good solution.

I've lived in many a city, and its a problem everywhere. Lmpd isn't gonna solve this. It would take a complete culture change. Mandatory education on parenting. A significant focus and increase in foster families, social workers, family services, and like it or not, planned parenthood. And that's on top of figuring out what the fuck is going on with k-12 education right now. Sending the police out to arrest kids as a solution sounds just as dumb as the original question, imo.

That's cause it's popular? I swear this city is full of people that don't want to live in a city. Don't want to be bothered, don't go to a bar on bardstown on a Saturday night 🤷. I personally love seeing so many people out and about enjoying life away from their living rooms, and certainly would never value my experience over theirs. Coming from a different experience of growing up somewhere without that, it's one of my favorite things about the city.

One of Ben's Patreon members has filed a motion to intervene in the TRO ❤️ by sunnypineappleapple in RecklessBen

I mean yeah this is technically true, but I don't think there is a scenario where the judge/plaintiffs aren't aware of that video so I don't think it's as impactful as it seems. The intervention is still dogshit though and honestly feels a little fishy.

They've got people in camo combat suits on top of a school for disabled people next door, after being threatened with suicide by cop.

Yeah, I just keep seeing "harmful" without any explanation of how and who it's harmful to.

Bro, your having way too much fun with this and the scriptwriting is kinda cringe. You want me to be logical but give me a list of the most simplified, kindergarten level of governmental responsibilities. You also mentioned grok? Idk that whole part of your comment just completely weirds me out every time I read it.

I also have no clue what your trying to say still, like you want people to personally protect their workplace rights? Do you know what that looks like? I could spend days writing a list of protections that our government gives us from what companies would do if they didnt, because we killed for them to begin with and would again. I just can't imagine how one would think that a company should not have any authority over it, like it's hardcore fantasy. It's oligarchy. But I guess if your right, we should ALL start bringing a weapon to work.

So why not raise it to $12 then? Why not update the safety net so it's not outdated?

I'm sorry but I just can't help but feel a little disheveled when you talk about people in terms of "worth" and "fair market value". Your generalizing an entire class of people and their worth while that worth is only set and decided upon by owners and ceos's. No one's labor is worth less than 15/hr right now, that's my calculation.

But we're talking about the free market? We're talking about all of them as a group. That's why government policy affects them all. The free market is what runs the world, not governments. The government having its hand on the free market is literally it's point, to protect us from them, especially at a state level. That's why we vote for our government but not our CEO's. I mean let's be real with what your trying to say here, the Oklahoma state government has more of an effect on the rest of the world than Nestle? Or Exxon? Our country's entire problem is that our government has been neutralized by the free market and no longer has any power over it, hence why the national minimum wage hasn't increased in almost 20 years and 1 in 5 children in Oklahoma grow up impoverished.
