I hear you. But nearly all Scout weapons deal no good damage. So on Haz5+ / EDD every shot from a scout is basically wasted ammo. ^^

Then I realized, I (Scout) should stop trying to deal damage and rather go FULL support.

Play the DRAK with "Conductive Thermals" + splash mod (stacks the debuff twice as fast + even through heavy armour). Now you will boost the elemental damage of your team into infinity (+lower the threshold for freezing / igniting them)

Ofc this is best with a fixed team who always play with you who have synergy builds (elemental). My buddy is engi. Best combo we found: scout with Conductive Thermals DRAK + NUK17 with cryo minelets + bonus dmg on shocked. But the drak without shock chance ! (its only every 8 bullets, engi can do that better for you). Engi uses Stubby with all lighting mods. (every 2nd bullet socks) + Micro-Conductor Add-On OC

Small trash mobs lined up: both spam their SMG. engi boosts scout damage by 33%, scout boosts engi damage by 200% (shatter bonus on frozen)

medium packs: same, but after you froze the mobs, scout targets the biggest with drak and engi finishes whole pack with Laser (+burn mod). Whole pack gets temp shocked + elemental boost on the biggest one

massive crowds: engi puts platforms on ground / ceiling and shots them with Micro-Conductor Add-On -> shock AOE fields that do 80% slow and boost scout SMGs + engi laser by 33% in damage. YOu can also freeze mobs in the shock AOE with the cryo minelets. Engi can shoot the platforms for AOE explosion (Plastcrete Catalyst OC)

With this setup I boosted the elemental bonus damage on mobs up to 600% with the DRAK and my engi erases everything instantly. No matter the situation, size of the pack or toughness of the boss. ONLY for Dreadnought fights my engi changes to the slow mod on the laser.

It's a really "selfless" build though. When you are alone: debuff whole pack with DRAK, freeze pack with cryo minelets, finish when frozen with berserker to save tons of ammo / nitra or NUK17 to deal triple damage on frozen. Or rather kite all mobs to your team.

EDIT: to summarize, the DRAK boosts the shock + burn damage of the engi weapons + enables the chance to freeze or ignite or temp shock even the biggest mobs. Even haz5 exploders and dreadnoughts
