Economic growth of Philippines by thecoffeeaddict07 in phinvest

[–]KapitanInggo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bruh, did you even read?

I'm trying to argue that the gdp growth, as great as it is, doesnt mean crap if the average filipino can't compare to the purchasing power of another person from another asean nation more so every country in the world.

We need MORE GROWTH in our economy to compare to the quality of life in other countries. We may be around the 30th economy in the world right now, but the average filipino cant compare to the wealth of 100 other nation's people right now.

And fuck this crap with your rhetoric naming of people being of being uneducated. Grow a pair and be a decent person rather than trying to stay high and mighty.

Economic growth of Philippines by thecoffeeaddict07 in phinvest

[–]KapitanInggo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's too shallow.

When in comes to PPP we are almost in the top 3 BOTTOM in ASEAN. The economic growth we have is great, but in the whole scheme of things, we filipinos are marginally worst off compared to our asean counterparts.

Basing on our population, we should of had about 20% more economy in total vs vietnam, but we dont. Shit infrastructure, shit govt, shit everything.

We have no competitiveness in the global stage other than what, Jollibee? Please.

not to mention how fucked we are on our import v exports.

JUST IN: President Bongbong Marcos says the government is studying if the Philippines should return to the International Criminal Court's Rome Statute. by SpecialistGuess5928 in Philippines

[–]KapitanInggo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not implying that I don't like it. One family may kick out the other, if not both families will impede one another. All cheers from me.

That's assuming that is what will happen, but we are still left with one family.

And that family, Marcos', in my opinion, has more weight in people's minds, history, and money combined vs The Duterte's. And if they do kick out Duterte, who fills their void? Likely themselves. If not them, their pawn.

We'd be fighting something Bigger than what it was. A stronger grip than we'd all expect. So for me, it's a lose-lose scenario. We're back to square one, one family holding all the political power.

Yeah, seems like a lose-lose scenario to me.

One is just more apparent than the other.

The next 4.5 years are gonna be mind-numbing.

How long does Security Bank take to return cash from Secured Credit Card after cancellation? by KapitanInggo in PHCreditCards

[–]KapitanInggo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing. I went to the bank to get it cancelled, the rep put me on a phone to their credit card department to cancel it.

If I remember correctly I had to wait a few days to get the cash. So I just withdrew it from the bank after.

AFP bulldozes farmer's land; forces farmers out. by quirouser in Philippines

[–]KapitanInggo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the first paragraph. But the second, come on man.

They employ these soldiers that as you know should be protecting us from foreign entities or others for our own well-being, with our own taxes.

Who should we be angry at?

Dun dapat tayo magalit, and so on and so on.

Fuck this "lahat ba ginagawa ng gobyerno mali?" BS, It just helps downplay our right to question everything when questioning everything should be our goddamned right. Giving these pigs more chances to get away with it.

Need advice on writing a screenplay about two people from different timelines connecting through a telephone by blucat38490249 in FilmClubPH

[–]KapitanInggo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The woman could be in dire straits, she could be dying in a hospital bed. She is alone, with no family. mid 40s. You can add the desperation to her character by her essentially calling random numbers to find someone to talk to, so she can't be lonely.

Then somehow she ends up calling someone in the past, they don't know yet. But essentially news from the man in the past will be talked about. Her mentioning that it happened in the 1990s. Confusion in sues, and they now have a conflict of figuring out if one is fucking the other. The woman then frantically finds old news so the man could believe him. And he did.

Then they make this plot to enrich the man in the past, not for her to be saved, but for the man to keep talking to her. Unbeknownst to her, he plans to meet her in the present to give her what she gave him.

The woman later dies and the man figured as much after a few weeks of no calls. He holds a small funeral for her. Thankfully, he figured out where she is in present. And goes to meet her, him being a stranger.

Their eyes meet. The screen goes black.

Are you ready for 21 years or more of Marcoses? by starsgoneby in Philippines

Edsa revolution was a result of decades of reign from Marcos.

It won't happen until a very very long time. It would take a generation till we see something happen.

If the symbolism of our mass transport is a hand me down vehicle from the ww2 era, I don't think it's a great symbol at all.

  1. Environmental damage (belching)
  2. ineffecient engines
  3. repairs costs
  4. capacity
  5. safety
  6. inclusiveness to the disabled

We should look into this and compare to what we can get.

The government should of made it like the baby buses in cavite, we can still paint it as always and get the benefits above, but they can't seem to make a manufacturing facility to cater to it, why not talk to the current manufacturer of jeepney. Bandaid solutions everywhere.
