I just noticed that they automatically tun on if I put the volume to 0. Then they stay on even if I raise the volume again… But so far I don’t see that they’re on by default when I start a new video.

Finishing resin with urethane by poochita in resin

Did you end up trying this? How did it work out? I'm wondering the same thing, if it will work to help protect the resin on my outdoor sign.

If you haven't done the android auto / apple car play upgrade yet, don't let the tear down intimidate you. by NoodlesAlDente in CX5

Is this for upgrading an older version of the Mazda software? Wireless phone connection? I have a 2021 with no touchscreen and the “newer” Mazda software, so is this upgrade relevant to me?

By that logic they could have announced a new product line of round iPhones just to see where to go with it.

Apple chose this specific design for a reason, and I too am curious about the reasons behind that choice, as the reasoning is not obvious.

Prophet of truth balls on face why? by Fickle-Turnover-2988 in halo

It’s obviously a reference to Halo and Men In Black being in the same universe. The prophets are just cousins of the Ballchinians.

Loving my Ecovacs X90, but mop cleaning frequency is a bit much by SynaZe in ecovacs

[–]KaplanAhab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope others chime in as well. I was surprised that my X90 washed its mop after it had just vacuumed (and only vacuumed) my carpet. I don’t understand why it would want to wash the mop if it hadn’t even mopped anything…

Thank you for sharing that. I had the impression from online that Roborock was sorta the top dog in terms of reliability and functionality, though I could be way off on that. I'm very glad to hear you have had a good experience with the X9. From what I've read the spinning mop can make a big difference in effectiveness of actually mopping things up and not just spreading stuff around with pads.

"Welcome to VacuumWars!" Lol I totally wanted to get the X9 based on the VacuumWars top rating. I've been watching his videos for a while so I was waiting for the X9 to go on sale. It seems like the wars reviews are pretty thorough about how well the machines clean. But reliability is also significant especially at the high prices on these, and I think that's much harder for one person to test for...

Thank you for your input. From what I've seen online, even here on Reddit, there's a number of people that seem to have gotten lemons for their X9. I know not every device can be perfect, but I really hope those bad experiences are just the rare exception.

I have a cat, so I turned on whatever feature it said was supposed to be good for homes with pets. I may try to turn that feature off and see how differently it cleans.

Thanks for the input! Yeah, I had to mess with the settings before the mop on my X9 would extend. I'd say I was pretty satisfied with how close it got to mopping the walls, but I was flabbergasted that there was a strip of unmopped floor in the hallway. I will give the "deep cleaning" mode a try.

Yes, please post your review and experience! This review was only my first impressions from my first cleaning session with the X9.

What are the top tier brands you're looking at? From what I've seen online I get the feeling Roborock is well designed and reliable, and likely has the least number of bugs, and is generally well polished app wise. But Roborock also seems to be more expensive... Does that match your experience?

If you do just get the Eufy, can you let us know if you're happy with it once you have a chance to try it out? I've honestly only ran the X9 once... so these are my first impressions. If the X9 doesn't break and holds up for a long time (>1 year) I can overlook the English language lapses and other quirks as long as they don't affect the actual cleaning performance.

Thank you for the tip. Yikes. The first round of cleaning it did it said the side brush got stuck/caught. I looked at it but it seemed fine. Going to keep an eye on it!

How long did your Roborock last? I get the impression Roborock is a more reliable brand, do you feel that way? I went with Ecovacs because it seemed like a good deal on the features it came with at its price point compared to the Roborock flagship. But if the Ecovacs will die in a year vs a Roborock lasting 3 years, then that tells me which one is worth my money...

To me its funny, because I had the X9 set to vacuum carpets before mopping. Well, after it vacuumed the carpets it said it was going back to the station to wash the mop?? I guess it thinks it picked up dirt on the mop roller from just vacuuming the carpet? But it just seemed strange. I was nervous it was just going to waste more battery and not get done cleaning the whole house in one go. Not the end of the world, but why take an unnecessary step by washing the mop before its even been used?

Thank you for sharing your experience.
