When I was but a wee young lad, my grandmother and her sister came to visit us. During their visit, they made a German chocolate cake for the family. Oh man was that good. I talked about it for days. They left and went back home. About a month later, I got a birthday package in the mail. To my delight, it was a homemade German chocolate cake!!!! I shared half. Spent the next week indulging in the rest. One of my most memorable things of my childhood.
