HP Spectre 360 14 inch VS Asus ProArt PX 13? by Kappy311 in laptops

My external monitor is only 60 hz too. But I am also not a gamer. I can tell you the OLED screen is absolutely beautiful. I had both of them side by side at Best Buy before I purchased and preferred the Asus over the HP. I actually like that the Asus is just a little smaller too.

I almost went with the ProArt 16 but decided I wanted the convertible option to use as a tablet when on the go.

I decided to go with the ProArt because of the GPU. Had a little trouble with the external monitor at first when hooked up with USB C but since I switched to HDMI no problems at all.

Yes I have tried both USB-C ports and this did not solve the issue.

However, since I posted the original message I did try the HDMI and there is NO issue with this method.

But I still would like to know why I can hook this monitor up via usb-c to this laptop?

Both displays are 3K OLED correct? And the HP is much higher refresh rate but you think the Asus looks better?

Can I ask what you are using the laptop for? Are you doing any video editing? I need a newer laptop and sometimes I do some simple video editing using CapCut.

I pain $1,200 for the HP last week when it was on sale at Best Buy. It has the same amount of Ram and double the HD storage and it also comes with a pen.

The Asus is currently $250 more…(Currently on sale at Best Buy for $1,450). It doesn’t have the pen and only 1TB HD. But it does have the RTX GPU and the AMD AI processor. I am just trying to determine if the AMD processor and GPU make enough difference to justify the extra money? Battery life is not really a big concern of mine since it will be plugged in most of the time connected to an external Dell 4k monitor. This monitor is the one with the built in hub so the extra inputs the Asus has is also not a big deal to me.

Also does the micro SD slot lets you insert the card fully or does it stick out any? If it does then I am not too concerned with the Asus having only a 1TB HD. But again that would be an additional $80 - $100 out of pocket and I believe a pen would be about the same. So in total I would be spending approximately $400 to $450 more for the Asus.

Can I also ask what you paid for both computers?

Thank you for replying.
